Not really, I was pretty distracted by all the mingling... also, we did the speeches before the food was served, so if we had waited until after the food to do them then I would probably have squirmed nervously throughout the whole meal and not eaten very much of it.

The wedding industry does suck shit, but that's only a problem if you go for an industrial wedding and other than wishing to be massive stereotype I can't see any reason to do so, unless you are having your wedding for other people's benefit and not your own.

Go pagan - if you know people who can cook, play instruments or take photos. We did three weddings (all ours) in 366 days, four dresses and a fortnight's honeymoon in a posh hotel in Greece for about two and a half grand.

I'm sure there was a bunch of grief in the lead up to this as with any wedding one way or another, there always is, whether you are forking out fifty quid or fifty grand, but look at the photos look... at the happysmileyfaces. Look at the nice little blue dress on the girl with the short hair.
