The guy works for MS but says it's a personal project.

To be honest, the fact that it shows you three sets of results then you pick the best one before it reveals which is which suggests that the only way for it to be biased would be for it to outright lie, which would be unlikely.

I got one vote for each! Very interesting though... Although I couldn't really spot any major difference, Google does seem to be slightly behind the other two.

Altavista is owned by Yahoo! now. I think it's just a different skin on the Yahoo! search engine.
