Just had another great online session, done another gang hideout quest. Private matches is the way to go though free roam online and you encounter too many gung-ho idiots. My multiplayer game of choice now I was beginning to get bored with modern combat shooters.

Apologies to Pundy for repeatedly shooting him in the head and not responding...I was in a party and couldn't hear. Bloody gun fun though.

No apologies for shooting Morte in the head. He deserved it.

Its quite good in multiplayer, isn't it, though it can be a bit of a pain... see Fort Mercer, where you respawn roughly in the same place each time. Which is fun when you keep popping up right next to Morte's party and them shooting the crap out of you, when you only really want to help them to do the hideout, buttheycan'tresistshootingatyou,soYOUendUPshootingATthem,BECAUSEWHATELSEAREYOUSUPPOSEDTODO!?

The (Free roam) multiplayer in this surely is quite fun. Rides across the country on hoss back, holding forts against waves of mens, trying to stop dirty cow rustlers...

But my favourite part was me and an Dimrill running after a goat. Me waving my finger at it telling it that I knew it's mother was a whore, and the Dimrill telling it that he wanted to get in his pants.

Don't you do that in every game though?

Want this game like a Sunday morning piss.

Yes, but not in game. That's what made it so excellent.

Quite long. I've been playing for about 20+ hours so far, I reckon, and I'm 59% through.

Had an ace moment last night where I had to chase down and capture/kill a main story guy, but my horse refused to come to me. Cue a short pursuit on foot while I triggered DeadEye and shot all his horse's legs off. Scrambling desperately to pick himself off the ground, I approached the guy, lasso swinging around my head, ready to hogtie the fucker. As I get right up next to him, the excellent Horse AI™ kicks in, and he fucks off with my steed.

I wanted to take this guy alive, I certainly didn't want to shoot my own horse, and now I had nothing to chase him with. Oh well. So I shot him. Lots. In the back of the head.

All legs is significantly funnier though.

The same reason why I ensure every duel consists of a shot in the hat, a shot in the gun-hand, and a shot in the nuts.

You can certainly shoot dogs heads.

It is quite a buggy game, mind. Yesterday, I suddenly grew a woman , and then couldn't control the horse.

So far my main disappointment is the lack of a lasso in multiplayer. I can see why they might've removed it, but still, how am I meant to drag a Dimrill behind me on horseback while telling him that his mothers a whore.

Is this difficult to play (single player)? Is there a wuss mode?

I might have a go of this game now Craig's finished it, but sometimes I get a bit stressed out when I die or people chase me.

There should be a 'turn off coyotes' option.

I don't find them too difficult to deal with, given they're large and fairly slow. However! There isn't a challenge to take out bears with a knife, as far as I'm aware, while there certainly is for cougars.

Maybe there is a way of playing it where you can avoid conflict and resolve situations passively.

Well, I don't know, maybe one could pacify the wild dogs by feeding them something, or keep them at a distance by building a fence or something. I haven't played this game yet to be honest though.

It's not actually that hard, unless, say there's two bears. Or four - which is how I ennded up getting it. It was like a really bad Benny Hill chase scene.

Blood is a nightmare to get out of good wool.

Dipped my first toe into multiplayer last night. Was highly entertaining, especially shooting your mates' horses out from under them. Was a bit distressed that it insisted on putting me on a donkey, and did get shot in the head by Pundy a ludicrous amount of times, but it was a lot of fun.

Oooh, today is going to be a whole day of rootin' tootin' wild west chicanery as I finally get a big session on Red Dead Redemption on this, me day off. Just about to do me first treasure map.

I do think I adore this game.

But first a fried breakfast at AJ's down the street and a read of a good ol' dime pulp western. :)

You can't.

Good lord, I reckon this is the most atmospheric game I've ever played. It feels right.

Them hookers ought to get themselves some sort of organizin', though - ah saved the same lady thrice from being all cut up on.

You should be able to lasso people together in this. Leaving people hogtied in the middle of the road is entertaining, but watching two people tied together attempt to walk in opposite directions would be funnier.
