Hello all.

On Saturday it is the Sunday Times Wine Club Vintage Festival at the Royal Horticultural Halls near VIctoria.

This is a great day out, and an excuse to get hideously drunk on some more than acceptable wines. Once you get in the front door you are given a glass and a little book saying which which stalls have which wines, and off you go. All wine drunk thereafter is free, and you can also have a jolly good chat to the producers.

Why am I informing you of this? Well, due to people moving house and getting pregnant, three members of my merry band are no longer able to come.

So if anyone in London is free on Saturday (I think the event runs from 5.30pm until 9pm) and fancies some lovely wine in thoroughly non-pretentious fashion, I have three tickets to sell on for this long-since-sold-out event.

I am offering them at the knock-down price of 25 quid each... though to be honest, I'll probably accept less. They cost 30 quid a pop, so this is bargain-licious for three and a half hours of solid wine drinking.

Anyone interested at all?

*awaits tumbleweed*

I'm interested, but I'm a criminal sub-normal Birmingham person.

Indeed. Any scant expectations I had were directed at the London contingent.

(That said, I did email you about it several months ago).

He *asked* to go shopping for cushions?

Have you been borrowing brain-washing techniques from the Scientologists?

If I had I think I'd be using them for something a bit better than that!

I would say yes, but I've to go to a wedding on Saturday for some of Mrs A's friends and stuff.

I would much rather go wine drinking with a BETEO posse, though.

Wish I could go, though I'd have to buy pricy train tickets and then persuade a friend for crash space.

Still, I have bowling that night - and that's always fun. Time to practice my Lebowski impersonations.

Yep, and it was due to skintness that we didn't accept at the time. Still can't afford it really, but don't like to see you in a bind.

They're not my tickets per se. Sister went and got herself preggers and can't drink, and my bro is moving house with his wife, so they're the ones out of pocket!

I'd love to, my kind of outing.
However, my ankle is still very painful from whatever the hell I did to it two weeks ago and I have no money. Bah.

I'm not in London until after the weekend, but even if I were I can only drink about a teaspoon of wine before I pass out :smug:
