He wasn't going to tell her. So I said "Tell her, or I will", and he said "Fine, I'm still not telling her".

So I have told her.

She deserves to know, and he deserves to be miserable.

I had the last laugh when I spun it around and two months later I had moved a goth model into my apartment who was drop dead gorgeous and 21. Hahahah !! My ex wife got word and for some reason started getting nasty, so I just ignored her, ignored her pleas for divorce, ignored her calls, ignored her emails (where she progressively got more and more angry that I was ignoring her) and fucked off to Ohio 700 miles away

So I won in the end. Even when she did track me down and filed for divorce I just tore it up and came back to the UK lmao.

Why would you just not allow the divorce to go through?

Edit. Also forgot the main reason. My ex wife was a greedy spoiled material chunt. Thus, when you're "Married but seperated" under US tax law you get .fuck.all. for your rebate. You need to divorce before you start getting half decent tax rebates. And I knew this would hurt her because she's up to her eyeballs in debt and relies on those rebates (which is where we differ, I'm a cash in product out person).

As I say, mainly I did it because it fucking irritated her and annoyed her and made her angry. Which made I laugh :DD

Not that I'm any sort of marriage expert, but it strikes me that you might have been doing it a bit wrong. I mean, relationships inevitably mean compromises, sure, but changing the fundamentals of who you are? Once you do that it's really only a matter of time, isn't it? I agree with Sledge. A relationship with any bird who is uptight and controlling and wants to mould you to their image of an ideal male sexual partner is plainly not a good idea.

Women are terrible at breakups in my opinion.

When I was at uni I had a long-distance gf in Leicester (I was in Middlesbrough). We were together for about 8 months and took turns to National Express up and down the country. The last time I went there to see her, she didn't kiss me when we I got off the bus, hardly touched me at all that evening, wore full PJs in bed and rebuffed all my advances (after a manfully saw off a massive spider from her sheets as well), culminating in her dumping me in a very busy and public coffee shop in the city centre. I suspect she did this so I wouldn't make a scene. She was wrong. I fought off any embarrassing tears by raging at her and calling her some rude words, very loudly, then storming off into the city centre and getting horribly lost. Whilst I was wandering, she rang National Express and changed my ticket and got her sister to bring my bags into town. She found me, took me to the bus station and sent me packing. AND THEN she had the nerve to ring my mum and tell her I might be 'upset' when I got home. Luckily, the beer that I'd drunk while wandering took the edge off my 'despair' and allowed me to spend the 4 hour journey chatting to a couple of reasonably hot girls. By the time I got home my mum was frantic with worry and I was, how you say, over it.

Bitch rang me every night for a month after that. Turns out the guy she dumped me for wasn't interested.

Much as it sucks Lewie, starting threads of reactionary misogyny won't help. People cheat, sometimes you get hurt, other times it's you doing the hurting. At least you can walk away without too much difficulty (no kids, joint mortgage with negative equity) - for that you should be grateful. Get angry then get over it and get on with your life. There is no upside to bitterness, Lewie, none whatsoever. There's no fruitful mileage in micro analysis of this matter either - not unless you're doing the listening and billing by the hour, at least

I've had like an hours sleep, and have a minor hangover...

Anyway, thanks for all the well wishes guys. I am completely happy that I am better off without her. I was probably the best thing that ever happened to her, and she has been begging me to take her back, but fuck that. Not only was I an excellent boyfriend, but I really made her happy. It is her loss more than anything else.

I would say I am not really that bitter at all. When she first told me she said "I am really sorry" to which I responded "I forgive you....But I am not your boyfriend any more."

I need a bath, but then I will probably tell the full story, I think I need to get it off my chest.

We started going out nearly 6 months ago. We met at Leeds festival in 2007, she was there with a friend, but had a boyfriend at the time. We got on amazingly well, and nearly kissed a couple of times, but neither of us let that happen. We met up again in Leeds festival 2008, and her boyfriend was there, but they weren't camped together (I was camped with her - we were both Oxfam stewards, and he was not) and again, we got on incredibly well. Her then boyfriend was a massive loser too. Awkward to be around, terrible sense of humour, and just a bit of a prick. So I thought "Fuck this, I really like this girl, and I think that she likes me. If this is my only competition, I have to let her know how I feel, in an honest and open way". After the festival, I emailed her saying something to the effect of "I really like you, if things ever don't work out with you and that loser, and you are interested, give me a shout." She replied that she had been wanting to break up with him for a long time, but had been putting it off for stupid reasons (It was his birthday, then a family member died, stuff like that).

She then split up with him, and shortly after me and her got together.

Now, let me tell you about her. She is drop dead gorgeous. The most physically attractive female I have ever been able to convince to like me. She also perfectly gets me. Our sense of humour are perfectly synchronised, and basically every second I spend with her is full of joy.

She does hardly any stupid girl stuff. She doesn't give a shit about fashion, she wears hardly any makeup, she watches good TV, and listens to good music. She doesn't refuse to do anything "because it's a man's job" like taking out the rubbish. She is very physically affectionate, and we were very compatible in bed. In a lot of ways, she ticks most of the boxes for what I would want from my 'perfect woman'.

She had a bit of a shitty childhood, and still has a lot of insecurities stemming from that, and I did a really good job of helping her get over them.

Now, she went away on a field trip with Uni to Cyprus, to look at rocks. Whilst she was there, one night the whole year group went out clubbing. She got a bit drunk, and a guy who she has history with was putting his arm round her a lot. Her mate even pointed out "He is all over you, you should say something". She didn't. She got more drunk, and then chose to be alone with him later on in the night. They kissed, and according to her, that's all that happened, and I believe that. She has said he is a very manipulative person, but she alone is responsible for her actions.

She knows how important trust is to me. She has said to me in the past "I have messed around guys I have been going out with before, because I didn't really respect them, and I know they would put up with it, but I know you are different, you are better than that, you wouldn't stand for me being unfaithful."

What that basically means to me is that even if just for a moment, her desire to kiss that other guy was greater then the total of all her feelings for me. I don't deserve that shit when I have been so good to her. She will never meet anyone that makes her as happy as I did.

I basically don't trust her at all now, so there is no relationship.

I knew that he had a girlfriend, so I asked her if he had told his girlfriend. She said that he hadn't. I said to her "If you think you owe me anything, you should tell her". She refused. So I said that I was going to tell her if he didn't. As I said before, he didn't, so I tracked her down on facebook and told her. Not got a response yet.

Fuck her. I am 21, I have my whole life ahead of me. She is begging me to have her back, but she is nothing to me now. She stole 6 months of my life, and I am not wasting any more time or energy on her. I come off as the good guy, and she is the only one in the wrong.

I will get over her, it's just going to take time. I will meet someone who is even better for me, and won't cheat on me.

That felt good.
