I agree with both of your points M-A. Also: the sniper level is awesome too. Those three are really the high points of the game, at least for me.

Tip: let the credits run, there is a secret level at the end.

Things I learnt last night.

1 - I can only get the really tough challenges (such as airstrike 5 people in one shot) when I haven't unlocked the chance to complete it.

2 - I really shouldn't play CoD after drinking strong cider all afternoon

:(

I think we gelled rather well as a team....

...for that one game of domination.

Also Perkoise seems to have hit his usual stride with these sort of things.

That one in the TV station? That was aces. As was the conversation that went.

ME: "You get A! I'm holding B... or is it C. Are you guys at A? Who's holding C?"

BOBBY: "Andy?"

ME: "Yes?"

BOBBY: "Shut up!"

Me grenading two of them at the same time followed by knifing someone who was pointing a machine gun RIGHT IN MY FACE was probably the highlight for me.

Knifing someone has such a solid feel to it on CoD4. Very enjoyable. I nearly got the triple knife kill challenge the other day, but the third man in the room spotted me and rearranged my face with his P90.

I'm honestly toying with the idea of trading in Halo 3, as I'm not sure I'm ever going to play it again at this rate.

Do it. If you're not getting the value out of it, sell it. It'll be cheap enough if you change your mind later.

True, but I'm also a terrible hoarder and actually getting rid of stuff tears me up inside.

It's the limited edition tin, but still probably no more than £15.

Well, I'm not having that! Only I'm allowed to tear you up inside... play with your halo... ring... etc.

I strongly doubt you will get more than £10. Especially not as cash. It's not really worth flogging one game to be honest - I'd do as many as you can at once, or not at all.

It was true!

Pretty much all of my kills were of people who were taking B, which is the key to winning. I also gave up my life selflessly capturing B, and acting as cannon fodder so you sneaky types could nip around the back and get C/A.

My tactics would have worked a lot better if I had unlocked martyrdom ...or if I had been sober.

On my first go through, I got five 'hot potato' kills. Since then, I have registered precisely zero, and I think I'm on my fourth or fifth journey through Prestige mode. I think the populace in general are better at cooking grenades than before.

*insert culinary joke here*

An amusing session. Especially for the many complaints from the other team.

"You're cheating!"

"How are we cheating?"

"You're camping!"

"I'm using the sniper rifle, what the hell do you expect me to do with it?"

"Shut up you noob faggot!"

"Ooooookay!"

Could do. Depends if I get my Forza car done, and I'm so close to finishing the GTA story, so perhaps not actually.

Definitely maybe.

I might be available, but the missus is home tonight, so I might not be.

Or I could spend the day setting up my den in the the spare room.

Or I could play CoD right now.

Decisions, decisions.

(I'm off work today with some sort of stomach virus)

I'll be on post BSG (10:00pm). There's no way I can get her to relinquish the TV and defer watching it.

Which is fair comment really.

There's no way you could play Dimrill, LaceSensor. Even if you were a giant, bald, ginger-bearded Metal Monk with a propensity for bowking up the finest and most delicate wines over one's only 360 controller, there's just no way you could master the subtleties of the yam-yam* accent.

* 'Brummie' to you.

I was in fine form (for once) earlier today, including a 5 on 1 Search and Destroy bomb planting victory, so expect:

1) Me to be terrible, or
2) Me not to get online

I don't hate Ground War*. It's just that it doesn't work particularly well, except maybe on a couple of biggest maps. Private Free-For-All or TDM is great! Anyone up for a Gentleman's Agreement pistol only game *polishes his Barratt Light-Fifty*?

*I absolutely fucking despise it.

I concur with this.

Sure! I'll make an agreement that gentlemen such as yourself use only the pistol, whilst scoundrels and bounders like myself use LMGs.

Things learned today...

1) Do not allow Dimrill to set up custom games. He's very very bad at it
2) That name again, is Mr Dave.
3) Kizzmon = wanker.

Ho ho, I misread your original post and then comedy ensued. Perhaps we should have a .50-cal only match; imagine someone with the Barret desperately trying to draw a bead on someone else three feet away whilst the second guy takes pot shots with the Desert Eagle. It'd be at least as much fun as a game planned by Dimrill.

Sadly most of us won't have unlocked either .50 cal weapon though.
