HQ on Shipment does indeed rock. If you can somehow get a chopper in, you're golden. Also, Martyrdom KICKS BOOTAY on it.

Good lord, I cannot believe it. You are dangerously near talking me into buying an XBox 360 and a copy of the critically acclaimed and chart-topping Call of Duty 4 purely on this beautiful thread of excitable giggling glee.

If I hadn't sworn on the lives of the children in the orphanage next door to reduce my overdraft over the next two months, I'd be pegging it to Game right away. Gngh. :'(

Pete, COD4 isn't even the best game on the 360.

Yaarrgh! What is then?!

I'm moving into a house with four other gentlemen friends on the 1st of July. I shall consider getting an Eggsbox then for all to delight in. Yes.

Is the multiplayer better than BF2, then?

yes its crap

especially when you play on hardore, and team mates have it turned on.

kinda defeats the object of playing as a team when you realistically cant stand within 20 feet of a comerade, less he fall foul to enemy fire (common) and knock you off in the process (commoner)

Martyrdom means that you explode on death, much like a suicide bomber. Infuriating, it's the worst thing ever in any game, and thoroughly dreadful, until you unlock and can use it yourself. Apparently.

Pete, the multiplayer is different to that of BF2. You don't have vehicles, and the maps are smaller. There are also no medics or engineers. But, it is otherwise quite close to being like Battlefield. Just a more 'Rar! Shoot 'em inna face!' BF2.

Halo 3 > COD4. Halo 3 had a fun singleplayer campaign that also rocks teh hard in 4-way co-op, and a fun multiplayer.

what spoils halo 3 is its stupid settings, crappy enemy aliens and the fact your weapons invariably look like a 2003 super soaker emitting purple semen at 300fps...

COD4 at least feels remotely realistic in terms of setting, weaponry and the enemies

To be honest, the main reason I want one is to play with you guys since none of you seem to PC multiplay. I've only had a few games of TF2 with Morte and others. :'(

But I can wait 'till later in the future for an Eggsbox. It may even be £120 or something aceness in summer. *Dreams*

People in CoD4 seem to die quick.

People in Halo 3 never ever seem to die unless I use a one-hit kill weapon.

Both of them have stupid turny-auto-tracky thing.

Its... settings? And nah, it's never 300 fps. But it does look great, doesn't it? Excellent point, well made.

Yeah, the enemies all have towels around their heads and your weapons look like they're made of cheap moulded black plastic, which is teh awsomes. It has a broken and buggy lobby system. I don't like them settings, yo.

OR! "Yeah, the thing that really stops Super Mario Galaxy from being even slightly fun to play at all is you don't play a bitter, war-ravaged army vet with Gulf War Syndrome. Realism FTW."

no 300fps means feet per second, or roughly 200 mile per hour. anyway, purple flashing lazer bullets....nah.

I didnt say halo wasnt fun, I just dont really like it. Mainly due to the weapons and the aliens.

After playing the original Rainbow Six, that's what I thought of Santiago Arnavisca.

Peoel saying this sort of thing used to really piss me off on the Farcry deathmatch and team servers. "Stop using the grenade launcher, you fag noob."

It's included in the game. It's a good weapon. It's also relatively easy to avoid if you're paying attention. You may not like it, but stop whinging or find a server where it's switched off.

I, for one, hate sniper rifles and find them the most irrritating weapon for enemies to be using. You die before you've started moving. Woo. But I dont spend the whole match going "stop using sniper rifles, you camping noob gheiyer". I just find another server.

Complaining about people using weapons provided in the game is exceptionally annoying.

Sorry, not having a go at you, chap - this just reminded me of many an increasingly-frustrating match on Farcry. What they didn't realise is that that then just made the entire opposing side rain grenadey death on them until they shut the fuck up.

naturally i dont actually sit there slagging people off in the game, i get on with it...but it is worth noting that these perks are, to be frank, fucking shit.

I tend to just as annoyed by the sneaky bastards with UAV Jammer, or a P90 with Stopping Power, or claymores, or triple frags.

Apart from the grenade launcher. That shit is annoying. But I mind less when people who aren't in prestige mode do it. It's when you have people with Prestige Level Ten maxed out using Juggernaut and the Grenade Launcher that is a little "duh".

There should be no power ups in "realistic" shooters, FFS.

Fine if you're shooting stupid little gay clown purple gnome things in Halo, but not in real shooters.

I have a love hate relationship with cod4, i swear part of me hates that fucking game but loads of people play it, so I feel compelled. It does anger me a bit at times though.

I cannot wait until the next time I can play the fourth installment in the long-running, critically-acclaimed hit first-person shooter series Call of Duty (IGN.com - 9/10).

Would that be Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which IGN said is "one of the deepest online shooters of all-time"?

I shall also be playing Infinity Ward's best-selling FPS, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare tonight.

That Shipment/Headquarters game where the Football365 lot joined up was really good fun... apart from it being 8 on 5, so we got reamed.

Also, sorry to dash off with little notice, but the missus had just got home and she really, really doesn't like me playing it when she's there (she mainly gets upset that I'm having such a fun time while she isn't).

Also, as I walked past my radiator the other day it made a noise just like a Claymore... it scared me!

I dreamed I was playing Infinity Ward's critically acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare published by Activision "One of the deepest online shooter of all-time" IGN.com 9/10 last night. Except my character was David Mitchell and I was sitting in granny's house calling in airstrikes.

Is it me, or does one of us players of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare written by Inifinity Ward published by Activision critically acclaimed by IGN.com as "One of the deepest online shooter of all-time" in their 9/10 review sound a lot like either Mitchell or Webb (I can't tell them apart)? Is it you, Curio?

I don't know. For the most part all I ever say is "What the fuck?!?", "No way he hit me from there!", "I just put 56234896 headshots into him" or "I'm defending B like a motherfucker... oh, they just captured B".

I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you all about how I single handedly blunted an enemy advance in BF2 in one of the greatest sprees of my life, taking down an armoured car and five successive soldiers in a cunning series of ambushes. I felt utterly heroic.

So there.

(Normally I bite my lip and cry silently as I get shot in the face yet again by somebody firing from a concealed vantage point.)

I can confirm it is indeed Curio who sounds like David Mitchell.

I'm glad I'm not imagining things.

I think I would like to play some Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare written by Inifinity Ward published by Activision critically acclaimed by IGN.com as "One of the deepest online shooter of all-time" in their 9/10 review tonight, and I am making arrangements to have access to the special add-on premium map pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare written by Inifinity Ward published by Activision critically acclaimed by IGN.com as "One of the deepest online shooter of all-time" in their 9/10 review so people stop moaning at me for not having them.

I'm bored of COD4. Let's all have a quiet single-player night.
