If you're shielded from the blast, they provide you enough time to wank into a cup so your grieving widow can have kids.

Which reminds me, there's a new flashback level in which Soap recalls playing the biscuit game with Captain Price and Gaz during training.

If you're not shielded, your teammates hack your prostate out with a bowie knife.

Only if combined with the lead gauntlet with leather-clad palms for comfort.

I expect I'll cave in and end up buying this when I see 84 out of 96 people on my friends list playing it solidly for three months. I'll really fucking resent everyone for it, though. :D

Not so sure about that. There's still a healthy contingent of people playing CoD4 now, and that's been out for over 18 months.

Martyrdom should be a perk where you throw yourself on a grenade to protect team mates.
I must admit, when i hadn't been playing long i used Juggernaut and Martyrdom.
I'm more an Overkill and iron lungs kinda guy now.

*twitches at withdrawal symptoms*

I like the idea of being able to customise what awesome stuff you get to call in when on killing streaks.

I still use Martyrdom. Everyone else does, so why shouldn't I?

I think I've been killed by Matryrdom about twice in the last six months, and I play the damn thing almost every day.

Every perk is annoying in its own right. The only one that still annoys me is Juggernaut when playing in non-hardcore.

What would be awesome is if they had certain perks only available to you at low levels. So you unlock cool perks, but as you go on you lose Juggernaut, unless you're using a shotgun, or something (as you tend to need to run through a few bullets to get near enough to use the thing).

I'm impressed with the graphical fidelity, but wonder from which source it came. PC? Eggbox? THREEPISSYNANs?

It's 360, innit? Pretty sure I saw the buttons in it. Gonna check.

No. I don't enjoy have my opinion changed, so I thought I'd pull a MetalAngel and refuse to listen to counter-arguments as to why I might enjoy this game.

Just watch the fucking video!

And yeah, it's the 360 version. Just had another wank over it. I really didn't want to be excited about this.

I'll probably get it for the single player and the co-op levels.

I only got my Xbox a few months ago so started someway behind the Bezzie Codders. I'll have to re-assess nearer the time though as the baby is due early September and i might not have any spare time to dedicate to playing.

I always used to enjoy it when Bobby would change his clan tag every time a clan entered, so his was the same as theirs.

Bloody bobby and all his team killing ways.

It'll be good to actually play the multiplayer and not just dicking around claymoring and C4ing bobby just for shits and giggles.
That's the only bad thing about getting to top rank... there's nothing left to aim for.

Don't forget it's summer vacation over there, so they'll be on all the time now. I had to play Saints Row 2 with one the other day - he squeaked repeatedly asking if I had a mic (I ignored him) and then he said I really should go buy one then, and then squeaked hello at the other players, and then spent the rest of the game BREATHING IN MY FUCKING EAR and accomplishing absolutely fuck all. Fortunately, it was 2 vs 2 and he effectively distracted the other players, allowing me to rack up an enormous score for myself. Thankfully he didn't declare '*we* won!' at the end otherwise I'd have told him what a waste of oxygen he was.

Just noted that the PC version is pre-order of £30 (RRP £35) - Play, interestingly cheap in comparison to 360/PS3 (£43 Pre (RRP £55))-ShopTo. Considering they'll sell more on 360/PS3 so should easily hit profit, in theory, on the PC I would guess it would be harder to make profit.

Also is coming out on the Wii? Surely not? Cheaper too.

Pre-order at Blockbuster and get 10 DVD/Blu Ray rentals for free. Probably useful for people who have a membership or something. It's £44.99 like everywhere else.

Gamers criticise cost of new game

Quote:
Eighteen-year-old Gary from Islington in London doesn't care about the price and says he'll definitely be buying it.

"I know we'll still buy it because once we've got the game you can't stop playing it.

"£55 is a bit too much though, so a lot of people will take longer to buy it. But, me personally, I'll buy it because there's no better game than Call of Duty. I know that for a fact."

Oh, a fact is it?

Quote:
Chris, who's 25 and from Bromley in Kent, says he's going to wait for a secondhand copy.

"Why should that be much more than the rest of them? I think £45 itself is tops," he said.

"Considering that CDs and DVDs have all come down in price over the years as technology's progressing, it's funny that games haven't. I'll probably still get it but I'll get it pre-owned."

Now there's a flawed argument.

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL CONFUSED ABOUT RRP. RPP OF NORMAL XBOX GAMES IS £50. NORMAL XBOX GAMES COST £40. RRP OF COD6MW2 IS £55. COD6MW2 WILL NOT COST £55.

THIS IS MAKING ME ANGRY.

Watched the video and I'm still "meh" on it. Graphics upgrade looks nice (wonder if they've managed 720p this time?), the rest of it is more of the same CoD4 that I ended up really disliking last time.

Ah, glad it wasn't just me then. The graphics certainly look pretty but there was nothing in that trailer to tempt me.

How can you dislike it? It's expensive AND popular, and therefore good.

When this comes out I'll buy the GoW2 map pack and then moan when no one's playing it with me.

Hah. This is the crucial difference. If I don't get CoD6MW2, and I turn my Xbox on and see 30+ people playing it, I won't then bemoan the end of Bezzie gaming because no-one wants to play UT3 with me.

Watched the video and I'm still "meh" on it. Graphics upgrade looks nice (wonder if they've managed 720p this time?), the rest of it is more of the same CoD4 that I ended up really disliking last time.
