I like it! Gaz got it the other day and we played for a bit after watching a film :)
Gets fucking annoying though when you get the '1 ball left' thing, the music hypes up as you get near the last peg...and you fucking MISS (may not happen to everyone else, I am just a plank)
I've gotten the 50 and the 100 a few times now. It's a good game to just play on if you have some time to kill* (arguably every game is like this) because it's an 'easy' game, just like pinball, bejewelled etc

Plus I keep saying 'Pegging'

*And are not prepared to go into a 'big game,' I like games you can just 'come out' of, if that makes sense

16 of the 80-odd people on my Live friends list have bought it. That's a very impressive sellthrough rate, I would imagine, if it's replicated throughout Live.

Only game I've bought for my iPod and horrendously addictive. I did think it was just random but havingin completed Adventure mode, it is a hell of a lot more than that.

The presentation is annoying though. 10 characters, each of which you could quite happily stick red hot pneedles into their eyes for the rest of eternity.

It's a perfect version of both deluxe and nights, they've done very, very well. Obviously it's lower res but you won't actually notice except that pegs aren't really round. It runs absolutely perfectly.

That'd be no good for me; I'd be too tempted to whack the volume up when Ode to Joy kicks in and high-five everyone in the vicinity.

Worth mentioning for the PC gamers that Peggle is still £2.55 on Popcap's website. Also, there are some bonus levels for Peggle Nights here and here.

Peggle DS is an abortion.

It looks fucking shit (the ball is SQUARE, FFS), runs at at a terrible framerate and has an awful, awful added mini game which means I actively avoid going for purple pegs so I don't have to play it. I'm not convinced by the ball physics yet, but it's hard to tell as a square "ball" judders across the screen.

When the fucking iPod Nano can run a perfect version of Peggle there's no fucking excuse for the shoddiness of the DS version.

It makes me really quite angry, because DS Peggle should be the best thing ever.

It's still just about Peggle, so it's kind of playable, but I have to keep a bucket handy to vomit into when I play it.

God I wish I had a DS still.

Need to get another one before the DSi takes over (I can't give up the GBA slot).

Also, very tempted to get Peggle for the 360 but I've already got it for my Mac so it would be madness.

Speak for yourself but I've been rather hooked on the DS version over the past few days.
Heck, I've just finished all the 120-odd main levels and am now plowing through the challenge mode.

The horrible, cutesy graphics on the top-screen apart, I think this works really well on the DS (can't really compare it to the PC version since I only played it for 10 minutes or so ages ago).

I should really hate it due to it's over-reliance on luck, but thanks to the shortness of each level and the option for instant re-starts I've found it incredibly more-ish.

No idea what you're talking about when you say it runs at at a terrible framerate, seems to run nice and smoothly to me.

Indeed, Puzz Loop is an excellent game and Zuma is an excellent total rip-off of it.

To paraphrase an old associate.

Puzz Loop - Mitchell Corporation (1998)

Zuma - Entirely invented by PopCap and not copied in any way (2003)

It is, was known as "ActionLoop" on UK release but yes, that's by Mitchell.

I hadn't played Phoenix Wright anywhere until three days ago. It's a bit boss, isn't it?

Think I'm on the last case, now - 'Turnabout Goodbyes'. It's been immensely enjoyable so far, apart from the odd smattering of tedium in the between-trials legwork. The characters are all memorable and charming, and picking holes in the testimonies with evidence gives me the horn. It frequently reminds me of Snatcher and Punch-Out, too, though it doesn't play like either of them*, and I often spot the condtradictions in the testimonies immediately, and nearly piss myself with excitement waiting for the judge to let me cross-examine the lying bastards**! So much fun.

As it happens, I never play or read anything on the bog. In and out, like the SAS.

*Actually, come to think of it, it totally does play like Snatcher.
**Actually, I kinda wish those testimonies were interactive the first time 'round.

The bastard ones you get are where the judge will only let you cross examine and press one piece of testimony, and if you're not sure if you have the right one you could be in for a lot of resetting.

Worryingly, my eyes are now used to Zuma. Still can't do the ninth set of levels in Adventure mode though... bloody game.

I prefer it to Actionloop though - although I did buy that at its RRP when it came out so my conscience is clear there ;) Plus the rumble cart that comes with it is handy for 42 in 1.
