Choccy O'Doom just twittediseded this and thought it was enough to share due to my BOILING ANGER at it.

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:XK ... =firefox-a

Quote:

DUNBLANE survivors have “shamed” the memory of their dead peers with foul-mouthed boasts about sex, brawls and drink-fuelled antics as they reach adulthood.

A number of the youngsters, now 18, have posted shocking blogs and photographs of themselves on the Internet, 13 years after being sheltered from public view in the aftermath.

How fucking DARE they get over the tragedy and get on with their lives! Don't they know they're supposed to be shivering nervous wrecks?!

I am SHOCKED and APPALLED. GYPSIES are turning our SWANS into foul-mouthed YOBBOS, etc.

One of them has even dared to play tennis for a living.

For an amateur, he got a pretty decent score though. Much better than Alabama this week.

No one appears to have spotted the obvious link between Table Tennis and shooting. Should be fucking banned if you ask me. Teaching children to launch small projectiles in the direction of other children as hard as possible.

I think that's really quite sad. I mean, if you're going to get some stupid 'revenge' on some nobheads at school and top yourself, you'd think you could at least do it in an original way. Gun-happy rampages are such a cop-out. Why not put some effort into it and build an elaborate death trap, or try your hand at serial killing?

Kids these days... no imagination.

I was thinking just that. I mean, if you've worked out that your endgame here is topping yourself, you effectively remove the entire concept of consequences from everything you do from that point on. And the best you can come up with to do with that is to off some fools at school? That's pretty pathetic, yet it seems to have become the almost de facto teen suicide methodology in the last few years.

At least Bridgend has an air of mystery about it.

Petition duly signed.

I'm still in complete and utter disbelief that they printed it.

Sorry to derail the topic slightly, but signing that petition made me think of the government's ePetitions website, so I popped over to have a look. The current largest petition on that site is:

Quote:
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to instruct water companies to return to charging churches as charities rather than as business premises.

Over 43,000 votes. That's the biggest issue facing Britain today?

If bombing their countries back into the stone age doesn't stop the terrorists trying to blow us up, I'm not sure an epetition will.

I work for a cartography company, and we provided a service on the side for the Ordnance Survey whereby we print planning maps off for the general public.

We had a lovely old lady come in once, from one of the local churches. They were after a plan of the church for the water board, and she banged on for ages about how disgusting it was that they were treated as a business, thus having to pay normal water bills.

It took a lot of effort from myself, lovely as she was, to avoid going off on a massive anti-religion rant at her, she was that insistent and annoying about the matter.

You're right. There needs to be a 'No to terrorism' Facebook group. That'll do it.

It's the biggest issue facing people who are naive enough to think that online petitions will ever achieve anything, ever.

Wee update: The Express have issued an apology. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/90417/Dunblane-We-re-sorry
The PCC says it will continue to investigate the Dunblane story despite the apology.

They still don't get it, do they? It's not about upsetting people. It's about somehow thinking that you get to make a 'news' story out of teenagers being normal teenagers, despite some weird idea you have that they must be somehow comporting themselves as 'victims' instead.

Cuh. There's nothing worse than people getting on their moral high horse about some media incident that wasn't really aimed at them and that they didn't even see at the time, is there? Don'tchajusthate interfering busybodies who get offended on other people's behalf?*

* - Not meaning to imply the Express are anything other than utter wankers, obviously. The parallel just tickles me, is all.

But that's my point. They shouldn't be apologising for distressing people, but instead for writing a meaningless non-story.

Y'kna how you can go to certain libraries and read newspapers from yesteryears? Do they even bother saving today's catastophising bags of shite journalism anymore? I'd like to present my son with the front page of the Daily Sport that was printed on the day he was born.
