Having finished Nicos story ages ago and recently nipping back to Liberty for whorage I'm really looking forward to the new content.

'Improved bike handling' being touted as one of the improvements is very appealing, as well as a handful of new weapons and some more tunes to freshen it up a bit.

Everyone dipping in at the earliest opportunity or hanging on a bit in case it's an Operation Anchorage?

Surely it will be ZOMG.

I'm hanging on - or trying to - because I've got so much else to play.

Mirror's Edge is a rental, so needs to be played and sent back, Deadly Creatures needs a review and I foolishly started MGS4 at the weekend.

Not to mention the fact that I really want to get Left 4 Dead, so I can join in the fun, and Street Fighter IV, so I can remind myself that I'm awful at fighters.

Hold on till its cheap enough for you to buy a Hori stick at the same time.

This plan will now give you plenty* of time to get ready for TLATD!

Was getting it, till I realised the price they were selling it at. 1600 points is a damn bit mental. That and hard drive space is a bit precious.

I'm interested at how well it will sell. I've been reading the whole Rock Band thread as I am SUPEREXCITED ABOUT PLAYING IT (AND DEVILMAN IS LOVELY) and I am very tempted to pay 1520 for Doolittle by the Pixies as DLC as it's my favourite album of all time, so you can price high and pull in your committed fans, but I can't help thinking they would have made more revenue at 800 to 1200.

Ah but say, cost MS £50m. Then assuming they get all the sales till they earn that back, then MS has to sell ~5 million copies of the DLC just to break even. That's a stupidly high attach rate.

I won't be getting it. I'm still stalled less that half way through GTA4's storyline; I don't need any more of it. Plus I'm on a KEKE GAMEZ RUSH right now anyway, having acquired Left4Dead, Gears2, R6V2, and Dead Risin in recent weeks - and with RE5 around the corner.

I would get it if I thought that the missions would vary from "go here, do X. Oh, no! $person A is getting away! You'd better chase him!". Only, you're a member of a bike gang, so it won't vary from that at all.

Yep, me too. I've only been playing it for about an hour and already I've had to answer about 67,348,916 phone calls from my fucking idiot cousin.

But seriously, the DLC's 1600 points?

SOmeone on here (think it was the GoatBoy) suggested a fabbo strategy for dealing with clingy Roman. Answer, agree to plans, immediately call back and cancel. He doesn't get pissed off and you lose no approval points. You can of course still 'party' with him when you feel like it.

With a bit of luck, you'll have that today as I sent it off yesterday lunchtime. :)

I still haven't started GTA4 yet but like Glyndwr I've been picking up a fair few games lately - in the past fortnight I've had COD3, COD4 (finished the story mode on that this morning and, while it was short, it was also very good so thanks for all the recommendations on that one), Dark Messiah (seems pretty crap so far), Quake 4, Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow Six Vegas, Ninja Gaiden II, PGR4 and Dark Sector. All I need now is a few weeks off to play them all.

See now an extra 2 gig on my HD means losing the ability to have a game ripped.

I've got a 120GB drive and was down to 15GB at the weekend, but I've deleted a load of games I'll never play again from the hard drive since then.

I'm still only on the second island of GTA:IV. I'm not buying this for ages, and only if it gets a massive reduction in price (which it most probably won't).

I really want a bigger HD. Been thinking about getting a new 360 so I get HDMI too, and selling my current one.

Hmmm.

Thanks to Rock Band, my 20Gb disk is nowhere near big enough for even one game anyway. I wish I could deleted the 8Gb of useless reserved space for Xbox1 compatability; I've never put an Xbox1 game in my 360 and I'm not likely to start now.

Don't forget you can always delete Lost and the Damned when you are finished with it and re-download it again later.

I expect it will, basic economics suggests that to maximise Microsoft's return a time-limited price drop to 1200 points or so in, say, six months would hoover up some extra sales they wouldn't otherwise have made. Don't hold your breath though.

Honestly I wouldn't bother just for HDMI, it makes precisely cock-all difference visually. If anything it's an annoyance, if I'm playing a game and I want to check the telly for something changing sources seems to make the 360 think that I want it to reset.

I know the pictures the same it's just I have 2 things going through a switch to the component and 2 free HDMI ports. Didn't realise it was faffy for source switching. The other reason for wanting a newer model was for running noise and less overheating, but meh. I'll keep my eyes out for a 60g/120g HD bargain then I suppose.

Interesting, neither my PS3 nor my SkyHD box do this.

I have my Elite connected up via HDMI and my 360 will sit happily at the dashboard when I switch inputs to play on my Gamecube, for example.

Mark, either your TV or 360 is broken.

Actually I've just been reading up and it appears it may be related to my hacking of the component cable so as to allow me to use the optical audio from that. I think I'll just go back to component instead.

No post yet, but here is hoping. Saying that I need to work today...

Likewise I've suddenly picked up a bunch of games. Thanks to trading with Myp, The Wonderful Devilman, Goozex's free joing game and Zavvi closing down I've got Skate, Kane&Lynch and Rock Band to get through. That and I'm still playing L4D and Fallout 3 from Xmas. So I'm set for yonks.

GTA4 is the first 'proper' Rockstar North GTA that I haven't finished since GTAIII, so that, plus the expense of this DLC, plus the stack of games I'm yet to play through, plus the imminent release of Street Fighter IV means I'm not even remotely interested in TLATD anymore. Just as well really, seeing as it's a M$ exclusive.

Why did you have to hack it? Don't they have optical out like the component leads?

Yeah, the proper one does but rather than pay the price of a game I wanted to use an ordinary £5 HDMI lead from Aldi.

I thought all HDMI cables outputted audio as well as video.

I wish people would stop calling it The Lost and the Damned. There's no second 'the', even though it sounds better.

Gah! Given it was seemingly the most popular multiplayer mode in GTA4, you'd bloody expect them to have added more GTA Race tracks, wouldn't you? WOULDN'T YOU? But no, just some normal 'Race' tracks that 80% of players quit out of before the end of the first lap when they realise they're not going to win, because Online GTA4 is a tosser magnet. The 'Lone Wolf Biker' mode almost makes up for it though, what with it being a massive game of tag (or if you went to my school, 'tick') with hairy arsed bikers and guns.

The only decent multiplayer mode in GTA IV is Cops n' Crooks.
