Hello!

Apparently Beauty and the Beast has been put into the "Disney Vault" and won't be available on DVD again until 2010 or something. This makes getting a copy very difficult. Would anyone be willing to sell me their copy? That is, assuming anyone has it.

It's a Valentine's Day gift idea if you're interested...

I've got it on VHS :(
Don't think I bought it on DVD as the youngster is 15 now and doesn't really watch Disney DVDs, though IIRC B&TB was a truly excellent film - I must have watched it about a million times with my daughter when she was much younger and to still think it was good after all those viewings says a lot.

Your best bet might be eBay now. Don't know if there's any on there, but the only site I could find offering it was MoreDiscs, and even there it was out of stock, even as part of a three disc set.

Another option: A region 1 copy and a multi region dvd player could be obtained for around £40. This also opens up the exciting world of multi-region dvd fun.

That's not a very handy little package for romance, though! Plus, she knows how hard it is to get hold of the Region 2 version. Looks like eBay is my friend. Thanks guys :)

Disney did this to me too when I tried to get hold of a copy of Mary Poppins as a present.

Artificial scarcity economics in the era of the internet beggers belief - but I understand what they are trying to do.
