No. Not an error with the cheese, an error cause by the lack of cheese. Goodness, you people.

ALL errors are caused through lack of cheese!

I had Virgin Broadband installed over the weekend. It wouldn't work, so I called their support team.

Said support team managed to get my computer to BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, twice, despite the fact that it had never happened before.

In the end I hung up, uninstalled their annoying software from my PC, and now it works.

I never bothered with any of the junk Virgin Media sent me for t'interpipes. I plugged it in just to see if it worked first, and it did. I have a couple of the install disks somewhere, they kept sending them to me along with a password to use to sign up for a blueyonder email account.

I didn't bother with that, either.

'Installing' broadband can fuck right off. Sky tried to get me to install software when I switched to their broadband. No, I need an SSID and a key, both of which are printed on the bottom of the router. That's it. They can take their broadband 'software' and cram it up their arse. Fuckers.

I would normally not have tried to install it, but I couldn't get it to work.

This was, I later discovered, due to them forgetting to turn it on at the right moment.

The fools.

I ordered TalkTalk last night because I want to save money. £16.99 a month for phone and broadband (with 8mbps speed and a 40GB download limit) sounds better than £16 a month for the phone line and £24.99 for an 8mbps 20GB limited broadband connection.

TalkTalk are awful, mind. Keep an eye on the cooling off cancellation period.

I thought you said it wasn't good enough the other day when I was talking about it?!

Or is that just because *I* suggested it-hmm, hmm, HMMMM?!

Anyway...

EDIT: *Looks at post above*

Actually...if it turns out they are shit then it's not my fault and I didn't say they were good

No, I said the package they offered me when I was talking to them in Morrisons wasn't good enough, turns out there was a cheaper package.

If they're shit, I'll just change back. I don't really use my broadband a huge amount anyway these days so I'm not looking for anything too special.

It is the only LLU in my exchange, but I have hear tooo many horror stories plus it is an 18 month contract.. No way i am signing up for 18 months.

I begrudge having an 18 month phone contract
