Cheers CUS. I'm not feeling too bad now - no doubt I will be again when I have to deal with stuff tomorrow, but at least I feel I can deal with it. Which is a vast improvement on how I felt last time I was headed down this road. Plus, real ale for £1.50 a pint and rock music, can't be bad.

Unfortunately a problem that's plagued me for too many years, medication and all.Hope you're feeling better soon.

Also from reading another thread i've just realised you're on my Live friends list and you like Forza 2, an unheard of situation for me.We need to race sometime.

I did the bulk adder thing, guess that's where you saw me. I'll be making my debut at the Race Club of Gentlemen tomorrow, you should join in Mr Hollocks. The bulk adder thing is remarkably easy, I managed it!

edit - Bulk Adder sounds like some sort of scary musclebound snake. I really should go to bed if I'm having thoughts like that...

Latest update - just heard from a friend at my workplace that I have until friday to get in touch with them and sort out if/when I go back. Going to the doctors in a couple of hours, will see what he says. Sounds like, if I want it and am able to do it, I still have a job at the moment.

See what the doctor says, first of all. I was on antidepressant for about 2 years, and came off them 18 months ago. I think I'll go back on them, and probably be signed off work for a couple of weeks, to calm down and sort myself out. I will probably go back after that, but I'm not decided for sure yet. I've been there 9 years, and am good at my, admittedly easy, job, so I don't think they will want me to leave if I can stay, and to be honest the hassle of job-hunting doesn't appeal.

This is all subject to change in the next 2 hours as I find out what's actually happening, and then in the weeks after as I sort myself out. One thing I have learned is not to make snap decisions when in a bad state.

Well, best of luck, man. And I'd like to echo everyone else that says 'of course you can post stuff here'. Also, if you ever do hit anyone when I'm around, I got your back, man ;)

Cheers Grim... Yeah, I'm trying to keep anything to do with this in this thread, so people who don't care can avoid it. It's been great having support from everybody, just knowing that people give a fuck really stops me feeling hopeless about all of this.

Hope all goes well Ste, if you do decide to return to your existing job make sure you tell them exactly what's pissing you off about the place.

Also consider cheering up your username to reflect a more positive outlook on life.

Steve of Fluffy Bunnies, perhaps - although that would possible leave you with SteOFluBun, which isn't ideal.

Well ok, esp if this guy at work is being such an arse. But he has to come back here and tell us all about it, blow by blow account as it were...

Hmm, maybe not! Isn't there a thread about fluffy bunnies somewhere?

I'm ok right now, been to the doctors and got some mediaction, and been signed off for two weeks, which I will mainly use to reflect on what I'm going to do. I spoke to my work - I still have the job, so if I'm more sorted in a few weeks I can go back. The practicalities of it are that I will have to sort myself out before I can change much at work.

Ultimately, if I did anything like that I'd lose out big time. At the minute, I'm gonna sort myself out, and deal with other people later.

I was only joking mate, I hate violence as an answer to anything.

Sounds like you've got your head screwed on and just need to do something thinking anyway, glad stuff is getting sorted though. :)

My good and dear friend Davydd Grimm has been excellent above and beyond the call of duty, and I am far better therefore. Thanks are offered beyond those given personally!

I only just logged in and thus missed the Being Excellentness, bah!

Hope you have a somewhat excellent weekend, and an excellent kip too. Sorry to hear you're down, but glad to hear that Davydd Grimm helped sort that out by, I don't know, allowing the little army of Smiley Dimrillies to gang up and overwhelm him in a terrifying Todd Browning Freaks way, chanting, "One of us! One of us!" in the hope that the spectacle would deliver sight gag comedy.

Well, it'd make me laugh. Sinisterly.

But glad to hear you're feeling a bit better now. Hugs to you mate, and to Davydd!

I am feeling better right now, due to the combination of tea, peanut butter sandwiches, and a Gillain Welch live bootleg. This is recommended to anyone feeling down, although the last would depend on finding depressing country music uplifting...

Thanks to Malclo Sponglo and nervouspete for good wishes, it really does mean a lot!

Oh Ste :(

When people are especially nasty to me I sometimes feel upset too. I like to let it remind me to be especially nice to people that I know or just strangers out and about, helping people with small thing that mean a lot - getting some shredded wheat off of a high shelf for an old lady at the supermarket, talking to some old man at the bus stop because he looks lonely or wants to tell you about his budgie who died recently. If you are extra nice when someone treats you badly then it makes it feel like at least you are rebalancing some part of the universe. Leave horrible people to themselves, they will only lose their friends and then wake up to themselves and, hopefully, realise how silly they have been and change their ways in time.

Monkey sends a big squiggly cuddle. :munkeh:

Also, breaking things doesn't help - you only ever break your own things, might get hurt in the process and then you've got a load of expensive stuff broken because you've smashed it up, so it's only lose/lose for you while the stupid person at the party carries on none the wiser. It's good that you came here instead. :)

Hope you are feeling better about people in general soon.

:(

Will going out for a walk not help (if it is safe enough to do so where you live)? Maybe you need some air and to cool off and just calm down a little. If you are angry it won't help you and certainly won't affect the person that has upset you so much.

Oh, I hate thinking of people like this, it scares me in real life when someone is so angry that they are unpredictable.

Just try not to hurt yourself by punching anything, or anything like that.

You know those little StressX things you can get, that you squidge to chill out? They stress me out good and proper, they do. You take out your frustrations on it and it goes back to how it was before with it's stupid little grin! And if you punch it, it has the cheek to hurt your knuckles!

Bloody StressX.

You know those little StressX things you can get, that you squidge to chill out? They stress me out good and proper, they do. You take out your frustrations on it and it goes back to how it was before with it's stupid little grin! And if you punch it, it has the cheek to hurt your knuckles!

Bloody StressX.

Maybe looking at this mans extensive collection of neck ties might help.

I'd imagine that was quite calming.

I'm so angry I'm scaring myself :-( I've already punched my door enough to make a dent... I'm home, listening to music, which will eventually calm me down. At least I'm OK enough to know I'm getting there. If I went for a walk right now, I'd probably end up in a fight or something, better to stya in...

I should just stay here and rant in text form, and drink. The support is appreciated more thatn I can say, though.

I love his choice of not only wearing a dickybow...not ONLY wearing a dickiebow with a manky pattern...but ALSO wearing it with a Denim shirt!

The man is a genius. Or batshit crazy.

Well, I hope that you are able to chill down soon. Being so stressed is no good for your health and can make you feel terrible, but I'm glad that you are finding your music helpful and that you are able to calm yourself down, even if it takes a little while.

It's a good thing that you got away from the party at least and that you had the control not to explode with any kind of violence. Surely that would have been the hardest part that took the most restraint? If you kept your cool then you should be able to maintain your composure now, the worst bit is over and you are away from the scene of any drama. And you're listening to SClub7 to help chill you out, which is cool.

This appeared to work last time, try this again.

Thankyou, excellent people :-) Yes, I got away rather than do anything bad... I have a beer and Townes Van Zandt rather than tea and Gillian Welch, but it's working similarly.

I don't know whether I' right for leaving before getting into a fight, or wrong for being fighty in the first place. Drinking two bottles of Jack Daniels probably didn't help, maybe. Fuck it, I do n't know :-(
