How to begin... Basically, I've just walked out of my job, because it was that or punch someone and get sacked. In short, this means that (a) my mental health issues are back big time, and will have to be dealt with and (b) I have no money, probably no job, and so much more to deal with at a time when I can barely deal with getting out of bed in the morning.

Off to doctors ASAP for some medication, and then an attempt to sort out my fucking mess of a life.

That's rubbish :(

I was going to offer words of hope and consolation, but then I saw you live in Beeston. :(

Oof. That is a bad start to the day.
Still, if being at work was making you so unhappy then leaving could be the start of a turnaround?

Steve that sounds awful, glad you're going to get it sorted out though. Remember to sound off on here should you need to.

An old friend of mine has her MSN saying 'Every day is another chance.' I know it's a bit* tacky, but it's true too.

*okay a lot, but I think you need to have been right at the bottom to know where she is coming from with it.

My definite sympathies and such, Mr. NorDar. There's a lot of this going about at the moment. Which is a nice little nonsense to repeat to oneself. Don't let anyone give you any shit about it anyhow.

What sort of work do you do?

Beeston, Notts, rather than Beeston, Leeds, so at least there's some hope for me...

If I have lost my job, which seems likely, I may at least have an incentive to sort myself out... right now I'm just gonna hide from everything.

Jasmine - Thanks for the quote - I know what it means. I've been much worse than this before, and I'm not about to give up right now.

Tmuk - It's really only one person causing problems for me at work, overall it's my problems that are the issue. Although, a fresh start on it's own may help.

Eek man, hope everything sorts itself out. This forum seems to have a high share of bad news since it started :(

There's a Beeston in Bedfordshire, as well. It's on the A1.

I work in a warehouse putting sports equipment in boxes. Not the normal geeky job for this forum, but still... It is/was easy work, and I can have headphones on most of the time. I'm very much a work to live, not live to work person.
Yes, there does seem to be a lot about - I was talking to a friend about this yesterday, he thinks this time of year is particularly bad, what with the whole "starting afresh" spring/easter thing. He may have a point..

Could be the start of something really positive mate. I don't know the specifics but there's often more than one way of looking at a situation.

Thanks, everyone. I'm ok, just need to get things sorted. I will have to find out in a day or two if I still have a job, and if I am going to go back ther or if I would be better off not. Part of this will depend on what my GP says. Now's not the time for decisions at all, though.

Might do some driving in a bit - I find that a lot more relaxing... shooting things might just get me more worked up...
Plus, I need practise if I'm to join the Race Club of Gentlemen tomorrrow...

Edit - Perhaps not every sentence should end with an ellipsis...

Joking aside, you're right - remembering being at rock bottom, I wouldn't have though like that.

Depending on whether or not I "had to use my A-K" will determine if "today was a good day" or not.

I suggest trying to raise that flat mate of yours out of his coffin and popping onto live for some frolics.

Judging by the shouting he was Burning Out in Paradise until the early hours, so may not surface for a while.
Arse, if I don't have a job I'll not be able to afford that or GTA4 next month, will have to get something sorted by then.

Zardoz - I think your warrior needs to level up a bit before he can take on the wannabe gangsta twats from hell...

Yes, I was rather drunk and I think he was laughing at that more than anything. Make him a cuppa cha, I would've thought he'd rise from the tomb for that.

Hope things start to look up for you soon, Ste. Sometimes we need to go through a decidedly dodgy patch to come out the other side all the better for it. Sometimes a crisis turns out to be a blessing in the end, but the most important thing is your mental health and peace of mind. I know that some guys aren't much into crying, but sometimes a face deep into the pillow all-out wail does help rid all of that frustration and hurt. Call the world a b*stard, have a wonder at what karma seems to hate you for, kick something, real hard, and break it, hurt your foot a little, then drink tea.

Hoping that your stresses and tribulations pass quickly and that you are able to see a silver lining somewhere soon.

Thankyou :-) Actually, the goodwill here has had me in tears a couple of times. I'm not quite at the burying my head in the pillow stage, but it if comes to that I will. I do sometimes bottle stuff up too much, although sometimes it's necessary. Finding the balance seems to be a problem at the minute. Tea will be done shortly I expect, right now I have apple, raspberry and grape juice, drunk straight from the carton for extra decadence! I may go look at World of Monkey for a bit to cheer me up as well.

Don't know what's happening about the job - I shall phone in a day or two and see. I'm calming down now, and will go back out in a bit to make a doctors appointment, and go on from there. Think it's time for more medication to be honest.
The problem is, the chap in question is incredibly annoying, but doesn't actually do anything that can be sorted out officially, so I'm technically the one in the wrong. I'm starting to think a fresh start may be the answer, but no decision yet.

Mimi - thanks for Monkey pic :-)

There's a Beeston in Cheshire, too. It has a castle, and is rather lovely, from what I remember. Perhaps you need a new Beeston.

Hope everything works out though, Ste.

I quite like this Beeston, maybe a job in it rather than in Nottingham itself would be the answer.

Anyway, doctors appointment made for tomorrow pm. I may keep talking about this here, I hope that's considered an ok use of the forum. I'll keep it in this thread though.

Yeah - the reason I left work was so I didn't. I won't be doing that - if it's likely to be a problem, I will definitely leave the place.

People really suck sometimes, I need a job with as little human interaction as possible.

CUS - Thanks! I just couldn't face someone here saying in a few days "Why are you still whining, get over it you miserable git" or whatever. Not that I think they would here, I'm just edgy and a bit misanthropic at the moment.

Or you need to find a job with decent colleagues. The people around you everyday mean a hell of a lot to me.

I would work with scum if the pay was right though. ;)

I feel the same way about this place though. I needed to post about a load of stuff that was going on just after xmas, I didn't do it on WoS because I think if just one person had said something unsupportive I would have put my fist through my monitor.
Posting the thread I did and reading peoples reactions on the other boards made me feel so much better, I actually felt physically lighter. Weird huh?

The problem is, the chap in question is incredibly annoying, but doesn't actually do anything that can be sorted out officially, so I'm technically the one in the wrong.
