I should follow that pair really. You know they are brother's-in-law?

Incidentally, I will be looking to play L4D tonight.

I'd like to give this a whirl tonight, if people will be about?

I've only had, like, one go on the demo though. So expect me to be an enormous millstone-shaped millstone around your collective necks.

He doesn't suffer from twitterhoea as much as Stephen Fry does, though.

The game we played earlier was utterly brilliant. Playing as the infected is amazingly good fun. Favourite moment was being a smoker and pulling myp off the balcony, leaving him dangling over the side of a truck slowly choking.

Sorry I had to jump out early, chaps.

I absolutely love being the Boomer. My favourite moment was on the last level when three of the survivors were huddled together, patching themselves up. I managed to shuffle up unawares and vomit all over them. They didn't last much longer. :D

Heh. It's quite difficult, though, seeing as you have to get really close, you're really vulnerable, and your bile takes a long time to regenerate.

I still haven't managed to get the achievement to puke on all four survivors at once.

You all sound as if you're having an indecent amount of fun. I really wish I could play this, really, really wish. :'(

Sorry for going out for curry and beers instead of shooting and vomiting on you all last night.

Please forgive me.

Umm, yeah, I think we had me/you/Dimrill/TagEmBagEm/Rodafowa. Something like that.

My favourite moment of the versus game last night (apart from the fact that we kicked the stuffing out of you in the first four rounds!) was when Cras, as a boomer, managed to sneak up behind a set of double doors infront of you lot as the survivors. Someone panicked and snap-shotted him, all four of you were biled, and a couple of our team as hunters moved in and managed to down survivors whilst you were fully horded. I think that was the time you were using your health packs just 50 feet from the safe room door...

Left 4 Dead is awesome.

Had a blast with Dimmers Myps & Ang on Saturday night, then a romantic game later on with just Myps and myself into the wee hours. Both managed to scrabble onto the boat with fuck all health left in the nick of time, I think Myps must me the record holder for the amount of puke he can carry.

Looking forward to more.

Played some splitscreen of this tonight with MyFinger. Even on Easy we were murdered running for the helicopter... after an easy ride, we spawned three tanks in a row that kept throwing one of us miles away, foiling our sprint for safety. Cocking Director.

That's about the size of it. Excellent shooty fun. Sorry for showing up so late and only belatedly discovering that my mutant offspring had lent out L4D.

I'm never up with the Bezzie Zeitgeist. :(

I agree. For fast paced in your face explosive fun (youll be running backwards and shitting yourself the whole time) L4d's quick pick up fun cannot be matched.

So, three months on from this, have Valve implemented legacy controls in L4D yet?

Would that be where you can't move and fire [aim] at the same time, because everything is practically on one stick?

edit: oh, no, it's swapping the X-axis of the two sticks around.

How people can use that is beyond me. If up/down on the right stick is to look up/down, how does it make sense to then decide that to look side-to-side involves the left stick (normally reserved for movement) and have strafe (movement) map itself to the right stick?

I was never one of the naysayers, I liked the demo. I was waiting for the game to be cheap so lots of people would buy it and play it with me.

I had it on pre order, but after the demo cancelled it as I thought it was just 'all right'. It's good fun now, but I don't regret waiting as I'd have been stuck with the B Team, in any case...

I was a doubter. The demo sucked in the brief few minutes I got to play it before they decided to delete the demo. Like iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidiots.

The full game is cocking awesome though.
