2 Left, 2 Dead
Left 4 Dead: Left Harder
Left Free, Die Hard

Much up for some L4D but The Lady wants BSG time at 9ish, so won't be about (half way through season 3 at the mo)

Shamelessly lifted from here, where some helpful soul has put together a .psd to make your own Left 4 Dead film posters.

She's got it into her head that she can get up to speed in time for the final episode. During the first 6 episodes of 4.5 she's managed the mini-series, season 1, 2 and a 1/4 of 3. So she might manage it.

I've just purchased (for the third time - I'm never ever loaning it out again ever) the first mini-series and series 3 and I'm going to make my missus watch it. I've not been following 4 on Sky as though I've been recording it, it fucked up a couple of the episodes, so I gave up and decided to wait for it to come out on DVD.

Hopefully I'll be around for some L4D tonight, probably around 10ish though.

Epic 4v4 match just now - me, Grim..., Tsu Much and nickachu versus Sir Morte, Wullie, buckskin (a UGVMer) and, ummm, not sure. Who was the eigth? Edit - it was Malabar Front! Of course! Sorry Malabar :(

Some really tight squeezes (at one point we had three people on the floor with the fourth dancing in the doorway of the saferoom like Bez needing a wee, wondering, do I go back? We all made it out!) We rightly lost the first few rounds, but then our teamwork started to flow. The finale was excellent both as infected and survivors - Grim... was knocked off the roof with the minigun and we all immediately jumped off after him and reformed on the ground pointing in different directions. That was an Awesome Gaming Moment.

We were co-ordinating cover whilst healing, all kinds of stuff. Also, someone was the tank and chased me for two laps around one of the rooftop huts, with me backpedalling and firing all the way! Also awesome.

The 4th was malabar front. Arguably the other teams best player.
Was epic fun, cries of help every few seconds as someone got pounced on by a hunter or smoked.
Good times.

Will definatly try and steal it off my housemate again for some more fun. :D

Indeed, it was a great game- and all the sweeter because our team left it until the last round before snatching victory. In fact I'm feeling uber-smug at the moment, because not only am I yet to be on the losing team while playing with Beex'ers, it was (as if I need to remind you) ME who bumped this thread after it had been forgotten about since the start December.

If anyone wants to thank me, just send a PM to get details of my Amazon wishlist.

I thought BSG was the reason you couldn't play? You really are weaving a web of deceit, here.

Luckily Wullie was about to struggle through some more Insane GoW2. (We were robbed on that last section mate :'( )

God don't you know anything!? It's games time first - and that can commence once the shit wagon holyoaks has finished. Then just before beddy beddy bo bos you watch BSG. Then you either go up the wooden hills to bedfordshire - or sneak late bezzie action in.

(Almost snuck a bsg spoiler in then - but caught myself - lets just say, watching season 3 again makes certain things weeeird)

It was, but I can see with L4D that it might not be as good unless you are playing online with friends. The campaigns seemed alot more intense playing with other people then just against the computer.
(This may have been said before, but I cant be bothered reading through 17 pages!)

I'd definately be up for another 4v4, are there any other modes of play apart from vs, and just a 4 player co-op going through the campaigns?

That game was awesome, now that I'm getting the hang of them I'm starting to prefer playing as the infected rather than the survivors.

Also, apologies to Runcle, the game was full right to the last kick.

Yup. We'd defeated the brumak, got to the cutscene and suddenly it decided we'd failed (if anyone cares). Still fun though.

It's definitely better with people you know. People talk, the banter is great, you can co-ordinate yourselves (unless you have Grim... on your team, whom we repeatedly saw running off alone into the distance!) and it's more personal.

The offline campaign is okay to get the ropes, but it gets old pretty quickly. It's better in split-screen co-op, but still not a touch on having all four players as real people.

There's only Versus mode at the moment. There's a new mode called 'Survivor' or something coming in the next patch, due out in the next couple of months, though I'm not entirely sure what the entails.

Yeah Ive done a couple of campaigns with my housemate split screen (as its his game) But there just wasnt th co-ordination and stuff like that, as the AI just stand around getting in the way.

the Verses mode is pretty ace tho, trying to get the boomer to vom on the guy you wanna pin as the hunter for maximum damage, always fun :D

Think I may have to get this when I next get some money!

It's fair enough moving at a sensible pace, but if you do it on your own, you're toast.

It's better to stay together moving slowly than move quickly far apart.

The best bit last night was in the campaign we had beforehand, with Grim..., Morte, Gaywood and myself.

After getting absolutely annihilated (by a tank, was it?) early on in the level, Grim... left the three of us to tough it out toward the airport. Upon reaching the multi-storey carpark, while someone alerted the horde, I noticed Grim... locked in a side-room, and ran off to free him, which happened quite successfully, then ran back to help with the million zombies rushing Morte and Gaywood.

After eliminating the horde, and starting to progress, Grim... ran off into the distance, while complaining about how he only had standard weapons now. He turned the corner up-ahead and, with low health, found himself confronted by a tank and a car flying towards his head.

Fewer than two minutes after being revived, Grim...'s portrait had turned back to a skull, and was left to sit out the rest of the round once more.

I was under a car, ffs. And I debate 'distance' - it was just around the corner.
So distance for Gaywood, then...

Wrong-o, not only do I possess a shotgun, I can shoot straight and I know how to look after it as well. And we all know that if you don't look after your weapons, the only Wasteland asshole it's going to kill is you.

NO WAY!

As I would have already had it ripped off by about 60 hunters and fallen of the building before you even had a CHANCE!

Got to campaign with n00l@rz Runcle & markg late last night after much wailing and gnashing of teeth trying to get into a game with Morte (full group not tech prob).

Great fun it was too. I dished out advice sometimes alittle too late for them. I think every witch spawned in the game got startled, oopsie.

Verses match next time Chaps. 9pm tonight!

I was knackered last night and still seeing racetrack flashing before my eyes from doing a hundred odd laps in a Formula BMW. It was good fun though.
