Cor blimey, FIFA 09 has some little annoyances in it.

First half - 1 foul, no subs, no injuries... 4 minutes injury time.
Second half - 5 fouls, 3 yellow cards, 1 red card, two stretchered off, 5 subs... 1 minute injury time.

And Andreas Dossena is not a lumbering useless sack of crap!

Two days in a row I've turned this game off in disgust. The one player game is really crap, which is upsetting as I very much enjoyed playing it multiplayer with Myp before now. The refereeing is a joke. Slide in from the side, get the ball, pass it forwards, then their striker finally tumbles over your leg - straight red. They do a leg breaker from behind, in the penalty area, nowhere near the ball - play on.

And the AI is utterly gash. Two defenders running back trying to stop the forward on a burst. I jockey him with one, forcing him towards the other to tackle him... and the other decides to wander forwards to try to catch him offside... despite him being the only striker, and he has the ball. Or attacking, when I get a two on one, the other striker without fail positions himself somewhere you cannot possibly pass to, and when you try, your player either boots it forwards, off the pitch, not within 30 feet of a player, or just stops, turns around and hoofs it clear for them.

Grrrrr.

A Bezzie-only game from now on.

Sorry for the reply to a wayback post, but I said this in the car on the way to my bro's house on NYE.

We were going over Woodhead Pass (any of you know it?) and there's a point where a short bridge crosses the valley. Halfway across you couldn't see anything, in any direction, except the bridge. I turned to the missus and said "The draw distance on this game is shite, but the framerate's ok". She looked at me in that special way and tutted the tut of a patient wifey.

I've a K7S5A motherboard. The computer itself has been playing up of late, so i switched the power supplies over. However this did not work, so I've stuck the old one back in. BUT, i've remove the on switch lead from the case button to the motherboard and don't know where it goes...

And I hound a shoe box full of 3.5" and 5.25" disks.. The 5.25 were my college work form 1990.

How is the iTunes genius playlist actually supposed to work? I've tried it a few times and it comes up with some very odd ideas.

Halfway through a playlist generated from Master of Puppets it went for this lot:

Quote:
I'll Stick Around - Foo Fighters
Turning Japanese - The Vapors
Burning Down the House - Talking Heads
I'm Broken - Pantera
Karma Police - Radiohead
Disposable Heroes - Metallica
All Along the Watchtower - Bob Dylan
Business Time - Flight of the Conchords
Paranoid - Black Sabbath

Eh?

Weird Science is on Sci Fi right now. It's an excellent film that is totally unwatchable in its present state. It has been cut and censored to death. They've obviously censored the few instances of 'shit', but they've also blanked out any usage of 'dick' and, incredibly, 'dork'.

Why, for fucks sake. You can say shit before the watershed now can't you? Dick and Dork are more than acceptable. Who the fuck edits this shit? Arraararagh.

I was watching Harry Hill on ITV the other day and saw their new advert for the i(TV)Player that they've remarkably thought up. I then spent a goodly half an hour trying to think of anything else other than Harry Hill that I'd want to watch on ITV.

I made some awesome chilli yesterday, and there's enough left to keep me going today, and for a couple of lunches for the missus.

Awesomes.
