It was equated to how much it would cost to buy the media coverage generated by having Paris Hilton at your club would cost - a lot of celebs you see in the shite tabloid gossip rag press make their entire incomes from doing this kind of thing on some scale or another, but I suspect you are right about it not being cost effective anymore.
