Ooh, thanks. I might wait until the Christmas episode has aired.

I particularly liked the little detail of

how 15 appeared with only half of 14's clothing. Whether he continues the Julian from Ghosts tribute act remains to be seen but he clearly wasn't fazed by it.

He still is not wearing trousers (since he's dancing in a kilt)

It looked like a tutu to me. Which the Gammons will love!

Nah, right enough. It was a kilt.

I’ve just watched the Christmas trailer, and I’m absolutely going to give it a go. I think Ncuti Gatwa is great.

I find the standalone episodes a bit easier for me, because I’m not really a ‘fan’, but have enjoyed episodes here and there of some doctors, but not others.

The Christmas special was brilliant and Gatwa is fantastic as the Doc. Real energy from his performance.

Most importantly, it was fun and touching.

I never knew I wanted a musical interlude with goblins on a wooden airship singing about eating a baby on Christmas Day but that whole sequence, topped by the Doc and Ruby's response, was just so joyful to watch. Other than being about baby-eating, obviously.

I reckon RTD could have got away with killing Candidate National Treasure Davina but it's ok and in the spirit of the things that the timeline requires her to live.

Going to be a long time until May!

"Dot and Bubble" was superb and very clever. One heck of an ending.

Quite the gut punch to realise that I too hadn't picked up on signs until the end. Not the parody of always-online teens in Barbieland I thought it was.

The final scene with the Doc and Ruby's emotions was incredibly well played.

The slugs had the right idea all along.

So that's the third standput episode in a row for me.

Yep, that’s three great episodes in a row.

It makes me wonder why they opened the season with the two poor ones (or indeed why they wrote them in the first place).

Really enjoyed the Christmas special. Loved the concept of the Time Hotel and the mystery doors. Gatwa continues to be amazing as the Doc and got some great lines.

It was decent enough. The Christmas episodes are often abysmal so enjoyable and inoffensive is fine with me.

There’s a *lot* of very vocal idiots online who absolutely hate the show since it stopped having a white male lead so it’s funny watching them get furious.

I adore Ncuti Gatwa. He’s just so gorgeous to watch. I don’t mean he’s good looking (though he is) but his movements are almost balletic, and the costuming and his voice are just wonderful.

He is the most watchable Doctor ever, for me.

Thought the episode was beautiful.

The year passing with the growing friendship with Anita was beautifully done. The ending of the episode made me cry.

giving himself the code just because he had given himself the code.

Also making him go the long way round

"Lux"

The show deals with cancellation rumours by not only breaking the fourth wall, but dancing on the shards.

Particularly loved the reference to the historic destruction of old episodes by using destroying film as a plot device and taking the piss out of the Mouse money by having the Doc tied by film whilst a cartoon character mocks him.

Oh, and handled the issues with the Doc and Belinda visiting 1950s Florida very tactfully.

I loved it.
