The stuff of legend. I still reckon they should play the instrumental breakdown part as the end credit of Eastenders during momentous events.

Chinny Trufax: Simon May used to make Mrs Chinny cups of tea when he used to do a spot on a radio station she was forced to work at against her will on Sunday mornings.

Now, anyone got "Always There" by Marti Fucking Webb?

They do, don't they. On the rare occasion that there's no cliffhanger, they do the really rather pleasant piano version. no occasions spring to mind though

Not the proper version from the 80's though I'll bet. With the saxophone bit.

Not that I watch it these days. I saw it the other night and thought I was watching The Bill*.

It used to be good when it was just single stories rather than a yucky-kissy-dull soap.

Watching Anita on the video I posted, it begs the question just how much did that household contribute to the hole in the ozone layer in the 80's. Brian May and wife presumably had hairspray delivered by the lorry load each morning.

Chinny do you have any of Christopher Quinten's* DJ mix tapes?

* Brian Tilsley from Corrie - Got stabbed in an alley in Manchester - Probably Canal Street.

Indeed. You could just watch it when you felt like it and be entertained for half hour. These days it's just a soap.

No. Wonder if he's done any TV since?

The one I feel sorry for is Paul Henry (Benny) from Crossroads. Classically trained actor who got typecast as Benny. As Jasper Carrot said (approximately), either the guy who plays Benny is really like that or he's a really talented actor. He was the latter and shamefully hasn't done much TV work since.

It's this time in a threads life, while talking about 80's footballers, we need this:

My page wouldn't load. I don't think my router likes having 2 x 360s and 2 x PCs on at the same time. :(
