Great racing again last night, shame the turnout was low but the quality was there.

Sorry for being a haphazard host, EPIC first race and finished off with THREE laps of the Nerdbergring :DD

My Hotrod was the bestest! Still need to see Chinnys artwork and find out how I rolled going around a bend.

Yeah great fun, some good races in there, hope we keep this up and get one or two more people in next time.

I ruled at the rubbish landrover racing though.

Yeah, I think we all bagged a few firsts last night, quite even.

Until Mr Dave turned up.

Yeah, sorry about that. Hey, at least someone other than me won the R2 race, due to me being incapable of taking the penultimate corner with no traction control.

Nurburgring was also tricky, although mainly due to the Zardoz effect:

Did you watch my mystery roll on the playback?

Very odd.

Yes, I'm at a loss to explain that. Obviously caused by the curb, but I've never seen anything quite like that.

I'd love to see a video of the bit in that race (or the next one) where someone* nudges me very gently off the racing line at the end of the first straight and I run flat out into a conveniently placed brick wall.

Sorry Zardoz. Cheers for the invite, but I'd just popped on for a quick half an hour of BC2 campaign before bed. I hadn't got a Hot Rod ready, nor did I have the energy to bother setting my wheel up.

Hopefully next week!

I take no responsibility for any crashes caused when I was in the Pontiac. Whatever I did in the setup rendered it very fast, but with absolutely no control. Brake, close eyes, turn, crash.

+ people kept on appearing in front of me like grannies trying to pull onto the motorway. I'm looking at you Mr Dave in the Range Rover race (just pulled out into my path about 30 seconds in after a Zardoz incident) and Kalmar in the Fiat race for just being in the way as I came flying around the final corner.

I rammed Zardoz deliberately though on the street circuit for interfering with my rear at the start.

Other crashes were down to my ineptitude.

Pretty sure Doc will play if we organise him. Might get Egg in too. He was saying the other day he'd noticed I'd been playing FM3 again and fancied playing it. Depends what he has on as he is a busy man.

I have cricket Thu, but should be able to get online from about 8.30pm or so.

I may be there. Maybe.

I have found a better solution to my steering wheel mount than the rock band drum kit, mind. Although equally as daft - a snare drum stand.

Which I've been using as a keyboard stand for a while, so I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier.

But it's so much quicker to set up/take down than the old solution, and much more adjustable.

Thanks for the invite last night, I had fun. I know I was a bit rubbish, but in my defense it's the first time I've played Forza multiplayer (and you lot are obviously a lot less predictable than those bloody CPUs), and also I am really, really, out of practice. But enough excuses.

Anyway, since resubscribing to gold, I've been adding people from here to my friends list, and if you see me online, don't hesitate to send invites, please! I probably won't be able to stay up as late as some of you, since I'm on CET and stuff.

Sorry about last night guys - just as my router was rebooting my daughter came in and demanded to watch Firefly and by 11:20pm when we'd finished I was too tired to want to play.

Did you sort out the NAT problems?
