Now if people promised to play Forza and didn't, you might have a point - but as far as I can tell only Meaty said he was playing.

I was a few minutes late (Mrs Metal was trying to get the Flapyak she captured to become resident in her Viva-pin-garden) and when I arrived it was either MW2 or Arse Effect 2.

I moaned to Dimrill about this, and he suggested we play MW2 spec ops!

It's that this happens pretty much every night, and so I can't be arsed to go online.
And yet, when I said I was thinking of not bothering to resubscribe to live because of it, I was told to spend the £40 or whatever, and three months later, that's looking like such a good investment. And yet I'm seeing snide comments about how I only play with Dimrill.

It's because he's the only one who doesn't play the same old broken shite every night.

Like I said - different people like playing different games. I had a long phase of not playing anything online because everyone was playing Gears and I wasn't a fan. You can't exactly complain because people are enjoying playing games that you don't like.

Dave, you should know me well enough by now to know I'll drop whatever I'm playing to play with bezzies. As I've said before, MW2 is a self-perpetuating prophecy: people play MW2 because others are playing it, because others are playing it, etc etc etc. I will happily play anything that I own with anyone who wants to play it. UT3, Halo, Gears, Battlestations Midway, IL-2, Borderlands, Top Spin 2, anything.

I'll even use my good headset.

The main problem, Dave, is that you never invite, suggest or organise anything yourself - it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you sent a few speculative messages or invites out, I'd be happy to play whatever, but you don't.

I've been trying to get people to play L4D2 for a while (not this week because I'm busy), but it's tough sometimes. I don't threaten to quit Live because of it, though.

If you don't come online and ask people to play games with you, they never will. It's quite simple.

As I said, I can't be arsed. You can play shit all you like, but I've just reached the point where I've given up.

Don't forget how quickly Bezzies can drop a seemingly ZOMFG game, Mr Dave. Look at TF2, L4D, UT3, RNLI etc.

We played GTA IV this week - you couldn't be arsed.
We played Halo 3 a few weeks ago.
We've played L4D2 here and there over the last few months.
