Which means, they must have been on the house swap website, as the Holiday says "swap homes, cars, everything" so Winslett and Jack Black must have ended up in a loft above a marina that might or might not have been set fire to/exploded/condemned, and Jude Law has returned from the pub to find his sister away again and he wants to use the toilet and nowhere near enough was made in the film by Winslett about her brother having sex in her bed. Repeatedly.

We finished series two last night. Sam is a joy to watch, but I really struggled with Nate’s character to the point that a few nights ago I had a horrible nightmare about him where he was basically abusing me verbally and physically, and found the second series very difficult to watch scenes with him in.

If it helps, my relative who works on the show says that the actor playing Nate is the absolute nicest guy.

That is good to know! I think it’s actually a case of some excellent scriptwriting, amazing characterisation and absolutely incredible acting. There are really great ‘baddies’ in a lot of things, but I found this one markedly difficult to watch for some reason. The same was true of Homelander in The Boys, but the difference there was that I didn’t enjoy that show and was happy when the series was over, but with Ted Lasso I loved the show, and wanted to watch more, but Nate’s character made me physically tense up when he was on screen. I’ll try and replace him in my mind with the actor being really nice.

Edited to add: I’ve just spent some time reading about the actor to try and strengthen that a bit more. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in anything else, MAYBE 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

I didn’t mind the Christmas episode, and it didn’t feel too out of place. Russell showed me the little Christmas animation episode last night as well, which was cute.

I didn’t mind Beard’s Blue Moon episode either, it was fun, just very differently paced. I especially liked the bit where

The Good Place was excellent, lady T and I really enjoyed it. It was funny and also quite sweet. At 4 fairly tight series it didn't outstay its welcome (although it did sag a little near the end it was still really good).

She is. I think they're all brilliant, apart from the daughter who is very much a character without a role.

Actually quite like how they've broken the series up into two parts. I had enough Ozark to satisfy me, but I'll be ready when the second batch drops.

There were one or two laughs in the 30 mins but overall E1 was a bit shit and annoying. Predictably, I fell asleep in the last few minutes. I don't think we'll continue with it.

I get what mean about Nate. He has gone from the shy kit boy to a darker character. I really disliked him this season.

Roy is one of my fav characters.

Really? It’s ace! It has John Malkovich in, so it is brilliant.

Also, if you watch it whilst keeping in mind that when it was released Trump was at his ‘height’ and had created the actual SPACE FORCE, so all of the references to the president and First Lady are very obviously Trump and Malaria, it’s almost funnier now that he isn’t omnipresent in the news.

The Travellers - There are 3 seasons of this. I started watching when Netflix played the 1st episode after Space Force finished. It is ok, I think a few more episodes are needed to see if it gets better.

In a post-apocalyptic future, thousands of special operatives are tasked with preventing the collapse of society. These operatives, known as "travelers", have their consciousnesses sent back in time and transferred into the "host" body of present-day individuals who would otherwise be moments from death, to minimize unexpected impact on the time line. The transfer requires the exact location of the target, made possible by 21st century smartphones and GPS, providing time, elevation, latitude, and longitude (TELL) coordinates that are archived for use in the future.

Trained using social media and public records concerning their hosts, each traveler must maintain the host's pre-existing life as cover for the rest of their lives, while carrying out missions in teams of five. These missions are dictated by the Director (an artificial intelligence) in the future who monitors the timeline. Travelers aim to save the world from a series of catastrophic events. One method by which the Director communicates with travelers is via prepubescent children used as messengers; unlike adults, any child can safely be animated for a few minutes by the Director and then released from control without risk of killing them.

Travelers are required to behave according to certain protocols to protect the timeline:

The mission comes first.
Leave the future in the past.
Don't take a life; don't save a life, unless otherwise directed. Do not interfere.
    Do not reproduce.
In the absence of direction, maintain your host's life.
Do not communicate with other known travelers outside of your team unless sanctioned by the Director.
The Director can invoke three other protocols in special situations:

Protocol Alpha temporarily suspends all other protocols when a critical mission must be completed at all costs.
Protocol Epsilon can be invoked when traveler archives are threatened.
Protocol Omega permanently suspends all other protocols when the Director abandons the travelers because the future has either been fixed or deemed impossible to fix.
In addition, the Travelers have a regular expression they mention when things take a minor unexpected turn: "No plan survives contact with the past." In one early episode ("Helios 685"), when getting ready to undertake what is (then) expected to be the mission that will positively rewrite the future, the team recites a short Traveler's oath: "We, the last unbroken remnants, vow to undo the errors of our ascendants, to make the Earth whole, the lost unlost, at peril of our own birth."

"Do not reproduce" provides a guaranteed plotline then, where our intrepid heroes dedicated to the survival of the future above all else decide not to bother wrapping up because everything is probably fine, actually.
