Love Death and Robots S02 is here and it's... All right. Some good, some a bit mediocre, some with a classic Range Rover in.

There are only eight of them though, compared to S01's eighteen, which is disappointing.

I'm a few minutes in and, yes, this describes it perfectly. I have no idea what is going on.

It does become clearer, but it had me checking I’d got the right show

Yes! Even though I caught the "previously on...", it was a total shift. Chapter 4, and I get it, more or less.

Right, that was - fine. Thank everything for the "making of" at the end, which for this episode was actually the "explaining of" and helped a lot.

And I suppose this is my thing, and I get why the lead has to have different accents to differentiate the characters, but none of them were convincing. And the problem with 'learning' an accent, and learning the main sounds, is that you can end up sounding like a parody, like an impressionist - and there more Yarwood than Bremner - accentuating the most distinctive bit. I got that feeling over and over, and it was very distracting.

I watched all of BoJack Horseman over the past couple of months.

I enjoyed it, it was very entertaining and cleverly done, although not all of it was easy viewing. I might take a break from watching longer TV series for a while.

Watched the first episode of "The Underground Railroad" on Prime last night.

A very convincing depiction of how horrific slavery was in the US. It benefits from mostly concentrating on the slaves themselves rather than the big house, and by ensuring that they are shown to be people with names and histories rather than just a silent anonymous bloc. I'll carry on watching but I think it might need to be done in small doses.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
I didn't realise that it was going to be a magical realist piece but once I accepted that they were going to take the "Underground Railway" literally I didn't think it detracted from the rest of the storey

I watched the first episode, boy is it hard viewing, the violence and dehumanising treatment of the Slaves, but also the way it's put together and filmed, I was left feeling very unsettled. I am not sure I want to watch any more, but feel I should.

On a side note, have you (or anyone else) seen the film Tubman? It covers the same sort of subject matter, and I thought it was very well done.

No, but I want to! Another one for the list.

I've yet to watch more of "Underground Railroad". I think I've got to be in the right mood for it.

We watched the last series of Supernatural and I'm pleased it's finished as it was pretty damn tired. It was both a slight anticlimax and also a bit... moving... in a way

I'm also a touch saddened as the 15 year run means it has been there as a thing Lady T and I have enjoyed, and that 15 years represents much of our time together, this silly TV show was a bit like a constant that is now gone, and I'm thinking about how much in my life had changed over that time.

I stopped watching, ages ago, as it seemed to disappear from the UK. I could VPN to the US, but I am too lazy :)

We now have americas full VPN on our works machines. I can now catch up on Supernatural during work hours :P

Shame about the host, though.

Did anybody else watch this?

Many tears, and now I have 200+ episodes to watch.

It's actually called Harriet! Not Tubman. Sorry about that if you were looking and couldn't find it.

Mosquito Coast (Apple TV) anyone? Beautiful, and waking up travel feelings for me. But a bit dull, with an okay ending. This song, intro to episode 4, was my highlight.
