That was some pretty high concept TV right there. The type of stuff that you don’t see much of any more. A single story told from beginning to end. Thoroughly enjoyable throughout, great cinematography, an amazing ensemble of talented actors and not a single twatty lightsaber on display to get people spaffing their britches.

Game of Thrones ending is looking really fucking dumb right now after the care and attention that clearly went into this labour of love.

Mr Roboto is finito.

I'm still processing it. Suffice to say, I didn't see the ending coming.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Though arguably I should have considered the idea that Series Star Elliott (SSE) would be an artificial personality, just like Mr Robot.

And it all makes perfect sense, until I actually start thinking about it. Then I lose the thread. Like, who is the viewer i.e. us? Are we the creation of SSE? And to what end?

And if Real Elliot doesn't look like SSE (the drivers' licence snafu in the finale) then what does Real Elliot look like? Does another character in the series look like the real Elliott? Is it Tyler Wellick?

What the fuck is Tyler Wellick looking at in the suitcase part way through S4?

Staggering that a series could bring you all the way to the end of 4 seasons and still have you guessing as you head into the finale.

Also, I really enjoyed the soundtrack in series 4. Generally excellent throughout the four series, but the choices seemed to step up a gear in the final run.

Do you mean when Tyrell was looking at the blue screen? I don’t know but the whole thing was deliberately left open ended for some reason but the consequence of that episode never causes any friction in the storyline thereafter. No one reports what happens, he’s never found and he never raises his head either.

I was eagerly following the subreddit throughout the series and there were so many theories knocking around. Towards the end, after all the theories gaining traction, I honestly thought it was going to go all sci-fi with multiple realities and shit but thank fuck it didn’t.

A monumentally good series that deserves more recognition for so many reasons, but the audiences are fickle. For those that stuck with it though I think they’ll have found it a rewarding experience. Oh and now the ratings are so low when we say we watched it we’ll be part of a select cult following! Mwah hah haa.

Oh was it a blue screen? Ha. Didn't pick up on that.

I guess it makes sense for his on-screen death to be blue screen. Though does he ever actually exist or is he constructed by SSE?

I think I need to go back and rewatch the whole thing. A little project for next year, perhaps.

Ha! I just started this last night too.

I wasn't really feeling it for the first 20 minutes of the first episode (mostly because I couldn't remember what the fuck happened at the end of Season 3, and the PREVIOUSLY ON THE EXPANSE wasn't amazingly informative), but it soon found its groove again and I got back into it and went straight onto episode two which was great. It seems to have got a bit swearier and there was SHAGGING in it and you could see a LADY BOTTOM.

And my favourite Martian lass Bobbie is looking well sexy.

It looks well fucking lush in 4K on the big telly, good use of 5:1 sound as well.

I spent arguably too much time admiring the new haircuts of all involved. But in all it did a pretty decent job of laying out how the world had changed in the months that followed the end of S3, in a fairly concise manner. That and new hair.

Also I'm being a bit harsh in saying 'it just sets up Season 5', the story arcs of the season itself are handled extremely well and wrapped up satisfactorily (and quite poignantly), but it definitely points forward to the next season (and potentially beyond) as well.

All on Amazon Prime which is convenient.

I think the techno stuff is done well enough to be tolerable. It's certainly a considerable step up from someone just typing 'OVERRIDE' in a red font and the target system is immediately and completely compromised.

I disagree. Mainly because it looks like they're putting effort into making it look believable, but getting it completely wrong in a way that anyone with a bit of knowledge would know.

I'd rather it was obvious fantasy hacking than pretending to be accurate but fucking it.

The last episode of The Good Place was excellent, and despite it clearly having been going downhill whilst they weren’t sure what the hell to do, a really good final episode can make or break the memories, and IMO the nailed the landing.

Started watching Gotham, felt like a mindless enough endeavour. Dialogue largely pap, but the world is decently built.

But HOW MANY episodes? It's basically the size of the west wing and I can't think of one good reason for it being so mammoth.
