I'm enjoying Killjoys at the moment. First series is on Netflix. It's very low budget sci-fi but quite creatively done and it's never anything other than entertaining.

If you want slightly bonkers, I understand that Lexx is up on either Amazon or Netflix. Very surreal, quite sexy sci-fi series that ran from '99-02. The first series was good IIRC helped by the really very sexy Eva Habermann playing the character Xev

I had both series on Netflix here, I enjoyed it, it was fairly ok sci fi. Second series was a bit better than the first if I'm honest.

A couple of recent shows I've watched.

Will - Shakespeare with a modern soundtrack.
Much better than it's 6.6 on IMDB would suggest.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5734140/

Midnight, Texas - supernatural shenanigans from the creator of True Blood.
Not quite as good as it's 8.1 on IMDB would suggest but still worth a look

Preacher. Herr Starr. He may be my new favourite TV character.

Preacher is my absolute favourite thing on TV at the moment... Possibly ever!

The new series has been brilliant so far. The only problem I have with it is having to wait a whole week before I can watch the next episode.

What service is Preacher on? Can I get it on Netflix? I just keep seeing the name come up and as we've finished Better Call Saul it might be something to watch instead.

For some reason I thought it had Idris Elba in. It does not, so I'm already disappointed without ever watching it.

It's on Amazon Prime, Mimi.

There's another season of Luther started on Netflix is you need some Idris Elba.

Ah, I don't have Prime, so Luther it is.

I kind of want to run into Idris Elba like running into a wall. I don't think he'd move. Or jump on his back as he's walking down the road. I reckon he's 100% muscle, wrapped around his bones. Apart from his voice, which is made of honey. He's so beautiful I might die.

Of the six comedians that feature in Netflix's The Standups, I thought the first, Nate Bargatze was very good, but the other five weren't much cop.

For some reason I thought I'd already seen that series of Luther. I hadn't, so watched it last night. Some typically demented stuff but I found the storyline with

rather too far fetched and shoe horned.

Hopefully the the next parts come soon.

The books are very good as well, though they're obviously quite different to the tv series; as in how you imagine the characters and also the time period. Michael Connelly the author, was a regular at Castle's poker nights

The type in question ('gruff authority figure') is pretty popular though so he's probably doing alright.

He wasn't exactly police in Fringe (Homeland Security to be precise) hence why I went with the more generic 'authority figure'. I also had it in my head that I'd seen him play head of security for a private company in something but Wikipedia doesn't seem to agree.

Whilst it continues to be cliche 101, Goliath has some fantastic writing, great acting and some genuinely "holy shit" moments. Mr Hurt is suitably doctor evil in his evil lair with all his evil camera feeds. I want to find out why he hates McBride so much! Stutter girl needs to be in it more, preferably with fewer clothes. Night school law degree lawyer is an entertaining foil for McBride. And yummy yummy Tania. Deffo enjoying so far.

OMG. Blood Drive is amazing. In a dystopian US, racers compete in a cross-America race. Fuel is super expensive so instead their cars run on blood. It's utterly ludicrous. And glorious.
