Is Sons of Anarchy a hospital drama? My sister was watching it a while back and every time I looked at the screen they were in a hospital.

Anyone else think that the Hooli-con episode of Silicon Valley was a bit, well, stupid? It just seems so far away from how they would normally have acted.

I nearly made a new thread for SV, but then didn't. CSB

I haven't seen that episode yet, but I've been loving Series 4, my favourite so far, I think.

The addition of a soupcon more drama really helps, and it's still extremely funny.

And somehow, the hospital is very reminiscent of the hospital used in Neighbours or Home & Away (can't remember which).

But agreed, it spends a hell of a lot of time in the hospital, owing to Jaxx's gal being a doctor.

The more I think about that show (with hairy bikers lumbering around the hospital as if it's fine for them to use it as a meeting place), the more ridiculous it becomes. Good/nasty fun, but fucking ridiculous.

Yes I thought it was a dumb episode.

Edit: They didn't even discuss how if they get caught out, even at a later date (which would be inevitable) it would make them completely toxic in the eyes of both end users and investors.

I wouldn't mind if they had this discussion, then did it anyway, but it's like they all temporarily became total morons.

The main characters girlfriend is a Dr at the local hospital.

On to the fourth season of Parks and Recreation and it's brilliant. Rob Lowe, especially. It's laugh out loud funny, and exceedingly sweet without being saccharine.

It's the best ensemble cast I have seen assembled. All of them have moments that have made me cry with laughter.

This would be true if The West Wing didn't exist, but Parks and Rec is still excellent. It's worth watching the various blooper reels that are available on YouTube as they're brilliant, especially anything involving Chris Pratt.

Kicking Trousers out of the thread. If you've not watched The West Wing you're not qualified to have a single opinion about television. And you're not even allowed to use the word 'ensemble'.

iZombie is fantastic. The entire cast is great, the writing is great, it doesn't take itself too seriously but can still surprise you with some unexpected pathos, and it whips along at a terrific pace. It's very Buffyish.

And it has the best pungame in television.

It isn't. It does a great job of mingling overarching plot with individual storylines that stay within their episode. It's also a fantastic US politics primer.

I would have ditched iZombie for The West Wing but then Craster is all manner of wrong in the Annie vs Britta debate so what does he know really?

Also everyone has been nice about iZombie and that's what I was finding so I shall carry on with that. And American Gods. And Colony (bit meh) And Dark Matter (she wants me to watch that - any good?)

By all means finish watching iZombie if you've started but if you then don't go on to watch The West Wing (especially if you're instead going to trudge through something you yourself consider 'meh') then you're a tit.
