I watched the first Episode of Band of Brothers last night. Does Dexter Fletcher's (or Tommy from Snatch) accent get bearable at any point?

Ages, probably. Just download it, unless you've a real objection to that.

I might not start Dexter S4 until I have it all. I watched S2 week-by-week and the last half-a-dozen episodes were agonizing.

I'm too weak to do that.

Ditto. And it's been really good so far. I'm really enjoying Dexter struggling with domesticity.

See, I'm too weak to not watch them as quickly as possible once I start. I think having the cliffhanger fortitude is the less easy option.

I already have them, of course. 720p torrents don't maintain good seed rates for very long.

I didn't think it was that bad. There's loads of British folk in there doing merkin accents and his never struck me as incongruous among the rest.

Band of Brothers is one of the bestest things ever

I have just finished Season 2 of Dexter, love it. I think I'll just wait for the dvd of the third series though because I will be buying it anyway and I have lots of other things to watch in the mean time. Careful with spoilers!

If it's on ITV4 though, it'll get sod all viewers, and they won't bother picking up any future series.

Dollhouse has already aired on FX though, and in HD too. This ITV4 is just a bargain basement re-run.

Watched Ep 8 of Series 2 of True Blood last night. It's becoming increasingly convoluted and surreal, but in a good way - like Lynch. Sookie is becoming more tiresome with each episode but it's allayed by the fact that it's more and more an ensemble piece. Still like it lots.

So do we have a Hivemind opinion on Defying Gravity, then? I'm 5 minutes into the pilot and worrying I'm wasting my time. TELL ME.

A little, and no nuddy shots.

I think this is a little boring, if I'm honest. It's never a good sign if I'm browsing the internet while watching something.

After the first episode, I can't be arsed, either. How do people manage to make things about space so dull?

Perhaps we all should have been guided by the TV reviews, which described it as "like Solaris, but for several hours".

It was after watching those episodes that I consulted wiki and discovered that the show was pitched as "Gray's Anatomy in space" :spew:

Fuck, that was it. "Solaris meets Gray's Anatomy".

Right, how do I get Channel 4 to show me Generation Kill on their poor iplayer equivalent?

I gave up halfway through episode 2 of Defying Gravity. They've taken space travel (SPACE TRAVEL, mind you, SPACE TRAVEL) and made it crushingly dull. What sort of twisted mind does it take to accomplish that? Was it written by jealous accountants who'd always wanted to be astronauts but were bitter about where they ended up?

Generation Kill looked promising, so I will be watching that properly at a more reasonable hour.

Yes. It might not click at first, but eventually the entire series becomes so retrospectively awesome in memory that you'll find yourself revisiting it now and again.

And 'Carentan' is an awesome episode. I love BoB. It's great. And Lt. Spiers, when he starts showing up... wow. And the Bastonge episodes, erk! Yep, top show.

An episode of True Blood I watched the other night had a full on orgy scene in the back garden of a house - women being spit roasted, lots of nudity, one shot of a woman sitting on a guys face, lots of doggie action amongst other positions.

Sometimes TV shows can be a real chore...

Have you been in space? No.

If it was so dull, why would it always be accompanied by a cacophony of whoops and "America! Fuck yeah!"s? Well? WELL?

That wasn't real space travel, was it? That was a film about monkeys that got punctuated with an advert for British Airways in the Jetsons future.

I am really enjoying Lie to Me.. Tim Roth is fantastic in it. Plus Foster is quite hot for an older lady.

It's even more formulaic than House, without the saving grace of a dominating and memorable central character. I love Tim Roth, and he's doing his best with a role that asks him to say "Ah! Now THAT'S the truth!" fourteen times an episode, but he's fighting against the tide. Plus he walks like a baboon so it freaks me out every time you see him move.

Sounds like me, but I've not watched lie to me, and I'd add doll house and flashforward
