I get that too, which cheeses me off as it doesn't really do anything email can't, and requires all the other crap on top. On balance though I'd sooner be out of the loop because it's a shit loop.

To be fair I think you should google everyone lol. I had a new trainee start with me.......never bothered googling anyone before. Until she says 'what day can I have of for my probation?'
Alarm bells rang & I didn't think this was possibly the best thing to ask me on her first day!
So I thought it cant be that bad they gave her the job after all. Then locals started coming to me telling me things, for example : watch your back with that one etc

So I goes home & taps her in the old google bar & this is what I find out!!!!!!

she had just got out of prison 2 weeks before she started in my work place. ok not so bad if she reformed.........She got 5 years. her & 2 others took a bloke to a house not 2 miles from my work place. He ended up with a broken shoulder, ribs & face! as well as multiple stab wounds to the chest neck & head. The judge described her as 'evil'. She had then tried to clean off & hide the knife as well as the belt used to beat & strangle him with.

Great I found this out on day 3 right after I had to train her on 'how to sharpen a knife'! FFS
pretty much the whole town knew who she was & what she'd done. So I ring HR.

They actually fucking lied to me! tried to tell me she only got done for perverting the corse of justice even though she was cleared of that & she has since told me herself what she did!

So my advise .......google every fucker cause you never know who you're dealing with till you do :)

Yeah, facebook. Fucking hell. My feed is now a mix of stuff that happened just now, an hour ago, and a couple of days ago, except that its all in a non-chronological order using a criteria that I'll be fucked if I can see how to control. In other words, extremely pissing annoying.

Got bored waiting 20 hours for them to sort out my archive. Deleted account.

Now to find out when I check in a month that my xbox or some shit has been signing me back in regularly and I'm not deleted at all.

That and it's quietly abandoned the "show me everything from everyone" setting they quietly added the other month, instead quietly introducing a per-person setting that defaults to "important". Or "random and context-destroying".

okay, so I was looking on facebook, and saw the following:
Attachment:
fb1.JPG

So, I think, I will press that, to which, I get:
Attachment:
fb2.JPG

Precisely how does providing facebook with more personal information, increase my security?
How does making something, in their own words, "easier to logback in", increase security?
And finally, why is there a "like" option next to me having "low security"?

Where do we stand on Facebook "repost this if you know someone has ever had cancer" stories?

Where do we stand if your brother posts one?

Where do we stand if your brother has posted one, and his wife has cancer?

There was a 4th question but I forget.

I always just didn't repost them. Or, reply with "Why?"

Everyone's got bloody cancer these days, certainly in my life there's always a couple of friends and relatives with it, and it kills most of them, I'm assuming it is no different for anyone else.

How to annoy Facebook by requestion a hard copy of all the data it has on you (which you are legally entitled to). Here's the web form address. I'll do this as soon as I get chance to scan my passport for the ID check.

Of course, by doing that, you're adding to all the data they've got on you to the tune of one passport scan.

I've been trying to work this into a joke on Twitter since the same thought occurred to me a few minutes ago.

Aren't they allowed to charge you for doing that?

I'm fairly sure they can charge you on a cost basis. How they determine what that cost is though is probably open to debate.

edit, a quick google brings up "Some agencies or corporations may charge a fee for providing the information, but they are only allowed to charge up to £10 for digital information, or £50 for printed (i.e. non-electronic) medical records. Finding out what information about you credit reference agencies hold costs £2."

So probably somewhere between £10 and £50 depending on how you want it.
