Dude - you totally told your wife's brothers about how their sister is in bed. That blank look was mostly an "eww".

I normally do that for fun. Just walk up behind them and say something like "I came on your sister's tits last night". Quality :)
I can't wait for Sam to be old enough to understand when I tell him "I've had your mum".

A year or so ago we were talking about porn, and I was telling them that when I was their age porn was really hard to get hold of - videos were shared around school and stuff like that. They, obviously, have access to all the boobage they want thanks to the Internet. I asked them if they felt somewhat let down by sex, as it's nothing like porn films. They looked at me blankly for a bit, and further investigation revealed that because all the girls are watching the same porn, that's their generations sex education, so that's the way they have sex.

Lucky buggers.

My brothers are 24 and 22. I hate them a little more after reading this.

The average age of the girls on my course is 23. So that's good.

I stopped listening to my 25 year old brother's stories after the one where he had sex with a stripper in a back room of a strip club in Falariki.

Are they young enough? Broadband (and so video porn) only became commonplace in homes five or six years ago, so that would have made your brothers (and their partners) 18ish.

Yeah, but before that you could download short snippets of video of people diddling each other for a couple of minutes. Quality and length was on a par with YouTube, but it was more than we had back in the day...

Can't see that at work, but I do remember the Dutch Breeze demo, featuring the picture of a woman masturbating. You worked her fingers by licking your finger and rubbing it across the joystick port. Seriously...

There was also that wanking sim where you had to perfect your technique to ensure you got the top ranking in the 'Peter Meter' when you spunked (doing it too fast, for example, didn't yield as good a 'result'). Sadly, it wasn't called 'Fists of Fury'.

There was also 'Party girls' where you similarly had to waggle the stick around in a certain rhythmn to avoid losing wood or spunking too soon, whilst shagging a variety of tarts.

As for porn, there were 'Grasp' files. Someone in school had a disk filled with them, it was little more than an animated gif/.flc file of a few seconds of porn footage looped, with 'hilarious' and entire unneccessary text trying to provide a 'story'.

Is there a way of hooking your Flickr account to your Facebook account so that photos uploaded to Flickr appear in the Facebook photo albums?

Sinister Facebook - I've ignored it for years, but have recently started updating it, even though I've deleted most of my "friends" - mostly ex highschool aquaintances.

Anyone else use it? Is it still heavily dodgy?

I have occasion to use it as a tool for myself and Zioette's mum to share photos and the like and show off to uninterested people how amazingly awesome our daughter is and for staying in touch with Uni pals. I still don't understand how people can find it more than an occasional 5-minute diversion, however.

Facebook has become my go-to way of communicating with family (it's easier than phonecalls and texts to all) and friends (specifically those who I'd rather not talk to).

Sadly, I seem to now have an obligation to my my FB friends to entertain them with my updates. If I miss a day, I literally get complaints.

I'd say that 9/10 people on my Facebook friends list are work colleagues, past and present and I just use it to keep in touch with them and it's useful to keep track of birthdays and nights out. In fact, I'm out for a drink on Friday for a bloke's birthday who I've not seen for about five years now, which was organised through Facebook, so it definitely has its uses.

I just need to wean myself off the games like Treasure Isle, Bejeweled Blitz and Zuma Blitz now.

I use it.

As I've said ad nauseum, to me it's the birthday book/address list I never got round to keeping. Most of the people I chat to regularly and whose photos and updates appear on my news feed are those I'm most in touch with.

It's also come in handy as a 21st century way of exchanging cartes de visites. When making contact with someone in the US about falling in with their re-enacting group when on holiday I suggested he look for my profile as way of becoming more than just 'random guy on the internet'. I was then told that my account was nigh-on impossible to find, which meant all those hours tweaking the privacy settings had been worth it.

When I was bugging people to donate to charity last year, I used it to email almost everyone on my list: I was surprised and pleased at the response as even people I hadn't heard from in years were replying and sending cash.

I block all applications and will untag any photo I don't want my name under. I would never add anyone I work with: what I do in private life is none of their business.

I hate Facebook. The feed is like Twitter done really badly, the new 'Enter to post' thing annoys the tits off me, and the regular privacy problems drive me nuts. Sadly, though, for many people Facebook is now the only means of communication. While work colleagues still send emails or use DMs on Twitter for very brief nods, most of my friends only use Facebook to communicate online.

I use Facebook a fair bit (as in check it a few times a day for a couple of minutes a time), just to keep up with what people I know are doing.

I found out my own sister was 35 weeks pregnant from the scribblings on her wall of one of her husband's chums.

Anyway, I'm over being upset about that now, but I curse FB for having seen it at all because I'd have like to have known when, exactly, I might have been told. Presumably when the child was a teenager. I just like to have a way of sharing a little bit of contact with my little brothers, and Twitter is a bit brief.

I don't care for Facebook, and can happily avoid it most of the time. I've ran into a few things that only let you login via Facbook Connect, though, which is a spectacularly retarded thing to do. I still won't sign up.

I prefer Facebook Connect to making *another* login for every single fucking site in the world. Not so much when Facebook chirps up "DavPaz became a fan of HUGE BOOBY PLAY"

(this has not happened, btw)

It'd be fine if there were absolutely no ties, like OpenID (though I still dislike that), but Facebook can fuck right off.

For those without the requisite account with Facebook, it's still just another set of login details, except it's with a third party you can't trust in the slightest. If you're going to go down that route, make it an option not the only way to log in.

Nope. I thought I'd not say anything so that a) they felt really uncomfortable when/if I see tem next and b) she didn't console herself by ordering e to knit all the things like she did for Annaleese and (to a lesser extent( Dylan. Maybe it's because she already had a girl and boy so doesn't need to tell me to make more clothes?

I have started using it this year more than ever, which comes off the back of having deleted it previously.

the feature for 'people you may know' is excellent, and 'mutual friends', as it let me add a girl I met on a night out in Tynemouth, and it turned out to be Ange's cousin.

I play one game on there as well, CSI:Crime City, which is basically farmville but clearing crime scenes instead of growing crops. So it's cool, not shit.

Yeah, I went looking in the official facebook FAQ for a way to block it. Like photos and notes, there is no way to turn it off.

Has anyone else been getting friend requests from lots of Women from the phillipines, or has one of my namesakes been sleeping his way through the female population there?

(One of them is so emo it's like being stuck in a castle full of clones Malabelm, Nickachu and Zio. But even more Emo than that. It's quite disturbing.)

There is talk of a $40 Billion valuation for Facebook. To put that into perspective, there were only 15 billion dollar and above takedowns last year.

Hmm... every change to the front page leads to people's status lines reading 'THEY'VE RUINED FACEBOOK FOREVER!111', then a few months down the line they moan when the feature they didn't like is changed again. I try to avoid such bandwagons, but I do feel the new layout looks confused and messy. The Twitter-esque feed is distracting, and I'd rather not have the page divided into 'top news' and 'recent updates': the old system of having two separate displays seemed to work and was far cleaner.

Is Zuckerberg being sponsored by Google+, and is working to undermine sinister Facebook from within? I think we should be told.

But top news is never top news - it's just crap I'm not arsed about, and it used to default to that and not 'latest'. With G+ I just start at the top and stop scrolling down when I get to something old.

The last four or five changes to FB have seen me become increasingly confused with the faff of it all, to the point where I'm waiting for my archive email to come through and once I've grabbed that, I'm off. Oddly enough, the photos and posts and such I've made can be served up in a webpage very quickly, but I've been waiting 20 minutes now for this archive email.

I couldn't find a delete option for my account, only deactivate - and clicking that took me to a screen showing all the people who'll 'miss me' - which can be summed up as three close friends I talk to in a hundred other ways and a few people who never ever use facebook.

Also today, I got an email from them saying they were going to email me less. And in the new layout thing, I've discovered that I've been opted out of half he stuff my wife says. A welcome feature in some real-world circumstances but not at all helpful online.

Yeah, got it - and what a shame it has to come to that!

Ironically, more than a year after permanently deleting my FB account I signed up again a few days ago. My baseball team and band pretty much use it exclusively for communication, so I was finding myself increasingly out of the loop.

I'm not enjoying it, though. :(
