The classic black & white western HIGH NOON with added sci-fi special effects (and over-dubbed voices and sound fx).

That's completely amazing. Though I did think it was Stuart Lee's voice being a cheeky monkey at first - it did sound a bit like an Ian.

Edit: And the High Noon one was tops as well, Berty. Reminded me of Firefly meets Twilight Zone!

And the Pimp My Spectrum demo, which comprises a stripped-down Z80 emulator with souped-up Spectrum bits attached (6-channel sound, faster processor etc.) and the code for the demo in one 64K production:

:glee:

Oh, tossrStu! Thank you even just for putting me in mind of an over-clocked, pimped-out Speccy. Had I a brutal totalitarian regime, I would force the creation of elaborate ways to gild the Speccy lily. Adding full 3D shadowing and shading to Tempest, using sophisticated pixel-doubling and anti-aliasing code gubbins. But never touching the original code! For that is precious and sacrosanct.

I would allow Alan Sugar to rule the Isle of Wight. Sir Clive can have Scotland. <fake anger>Imagine the look on :attitude: when he realises the Scottish economy is in the hands of Sinclair. HAHAHAHAH!</fake anger> Seriously though, that'd be awesome, if only as a practical joke. We should totally do that.

Where am I?

I now have a loop of wire that lets me travel around the tube! I'm either putting it in my watch, or (if it will work) a magic wand.

I've written an article about it that will go on my blog at about half twelve (giving youtube time to sort the video out).

Went to look at the Portillo loses video, found this instead. Basically, Portillo's trying to find a humane way of killing and so goes into a decompression chamber to test it out on himself. Very freaky.

Definitely not faked, I've seen helicopters flown right in front of me to that sort of standard. I can fly helicopters pretty well but I can't get my head around how anyone can do that sort of thing.

Right. This is the trailer for a new show starting in September, in America. Looks okay, nothing particularly new. However, watch until the end, for a rather unexpected Alan Partridge tribute of sorts. Yes. Watch right until the very end (and don't click through to watch it at Youtube, just let it play out below).
