This is technically a lowlight but I'm posting it anyway because you have to see what this guy thinks makes a nice chicken soup.

This channel seems to have been mentioned before but never explicitly linked that I can see.

It's basically a crazy Finnish guy crushing things in a hydraulic press until they explode. Even books.

Better with sound as his commentary is funny.

Yeah I can't work out if Boston Dynamics go all out to make nightmare fuel or if it's purely just what has emerged from them pursuing whatever it is that their goals are.

As this thread has been bumped, I though I'd share this romantic exchange from my own channel. I guess I don't get all comment notifications and I'd not seen this before today.

I got 'What a boring cunt' on one of my videos, which was nice.

Admittedly it was a half hour video about the nuances of a fruit machine emulator's autoplay function, but even so, how rude!

My favourite comment on one of my videos -

the game in the video was rather crappy though

Still, that person decided they wanted to watch that video, bit cheeky of them to be rude about it

It may have been a follow-on video.

YouTube deciding that what you want to watch next is probably Hearthly talking about autoplay is a pretty sick burn.

No there's no monetisation on the channel at all and I haven't done a Patreon or anything like that (despite many people suggesting it to me and saying they'd contribute).

I need to maintain my fierce editorial independence. Plus I don't want to feel 'obliged' to do anything, and have the freedom to follow my nose.

Most of my videos only get a few hundred views, the most watched one has only managed 4400 views, with a handful in the 2000-3000 range.

My mum made a video about knitting and somehow it's now on 371k views, but all her other knitting videos are less than 2k. I think she's one of those 15 minute of fame, desperate to be famous youtubers we keep hearing about.

One of my relatively popular videos has 22k views and it's just a list of the games that come with those PSP ripoffs, the PXP3. It had TV out so I figured I'd connect it to a capture card and record the game select screens so people could see what came with them.

In summary, people will watch any old shit.
