Now I've got a youtube channel I thought I would put up this obscure video I took of Stewart Lee serenading Harry Hill at a Harry Hill Live Music gig (where Hill just really sung).

It's wonderful.

(Oh and sorry for the awful picture quality - but it's pretty good sound quality at least)

Inspired by the insanity of Shin in the non-genre specific music thread, I present the video to my favourite Nina Simone song. Coincidentally, or not, one of the earliest videos I can remember ever seeing, back in the days when Top of the Tops was an exciting weekly treat.

This claims to be every use of the phrase "what are you doing here", plus variations like "what is that doing here", in all Doctor Who, ever. And it's certainly long enough to justify that claim:

Seems dumb at first, but after a while the phrase takes on a sort of magical lyricism.

Is it really though? Presumably this guy has all the scripts and has scanned through for those words?

Neat but ultimately pointless. I'd much prefer a video of every bad guy threat the Doctor received . Or every Master one liner.

From the original youtube page:
Quote:
This was a birthday present I made for my friend's 40th in 2005.

We have a long-running in-joke about the phrase "What are you doing here?" cropping up everywhere in TV shows. As we also both like Doctor Who, doing this seemed like a good idea.

The original (which went to the end of Eccleston) took seven months to make - Six to watch all the episodes and one to edit it together. I've since updated it to the end of the 2008 series.

Enjoy.
It certainly looks like it could be all (well, all surviving footage) of them. It covers a lot of ground.

Dimrill, I need to hug you for that vid. I shall show it to my Lynch obsessed, coffee drinking housemate, Rhys, and see if he splurts coffee all over the room in surprise before breaking into some weird jimmy-legged dance.

Yes, and tell me if I should watch series 2. I find Series 1 so perfect that I'm umming and ahhing, as I hear it isn't quite as good, and I have S1 on DVD too, but hear that the picture and sound and extras in the Gold Box are so much more acebest.

Series 2 is a bit of a mish-mash of plots, some good, some bad, some terrible, and to be honest, it's crying out for a series 3 (or at least some kind of resolution).
It's probably worth watching all of it though, so that Fire Walk With Me makes more sense, which you should definitely watch after you've seen all of it.

The album that 'song' is from is brilliant, right up there with Shatner's 'The Transformed Man'.
