Master of Puppets on multiple stylophones. I didn't expect to watch it all the way through, but it's oddly hypnotic.

Spent the evening watching a selection of short films on Youtube. These were the two that stood out, and well worth your time.

Signs of Love - a modern silent, following a relationship. Great orchestral score, and despite the lack of dialogue I became really engrossed in the story and the characters. Had a bit of dust in my eye at the end. 15 minutes.

Céad Ghrá (First Love) - two Irish schoolboys both fancy the same girl, so they ask her to choose. Charming look at friendship - 11 minutes 40.

Very nostalgic documentary about the Century 21 studios where Gerry Anderson's puppet series were made.

Nebula 75!
Trapped in a London studio flat during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, two Century 21 puppeteers resort to creating an exciting new space action show using just the few odds and ends they have lying around...

It's up to episode 4 now. I especially like the "making of" bits at the end of each episode. :D

Probably graphite to get the level of carbon required for Damascus steel. At a guess.

It's flux, which is needed to get the metal to weld.

**sigh** Now I'm going to have to learn how to make pattern-welded Damascus steel blades...

Anyway, brilliant story in the first two minutes of this video. The rest's pretty interesting, too.

This is maybe a bit niche, but I love these air traffic control reconstructions!

Here the solo pilot of a light aircraft appears to be out of it due to oxygen deprivation, so the controllers ask another plane to intercept him and have a look... :o

Lovely.

Has anyone seen the comet from the ground? I tried to have a look last night (after the quiz) but the direction I need to look has a street lamp , so it makes it harder to see faint things like that.

Going to try and go to a local field tonight (which has a nice little hill in it, should give a good view if it stays clear) or possibly even the moors, but that's more effort and involves a lot of walking on uneven ground in the dark.

I don't really have the equipment to take any photos of it that will work, and I don't really have a very good telescope/binoculars either, but that's never stopped me before!

I tried to look for it a couple of days ago, using Star Walk, but that just confirmed that it was below the horizon at the time.

I had really slim pickings, it was starting to get cloudy as the sun set, I could easily see the plough (It's just beneath that in the sky), and I could see some dim stars in the location, lining our (sub £100, so a really poor kids one, but brilliant for looking at the moon, and you can see the Jovian satellites) telescope up with it, you could see a star with a smudge coming out of the top. So I think that was it, a little underwhelming. I'd love to have better equipment, but alas I don't.
