Thinking about it, Michael didn't know what sort of car he had either...

I agree that alot of it is in the edit and contestant selection.

See this episode of Screen Wipe for an expose of how it all works:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdxHRuBRLYE

I'm guessing she was bought in because she was quirky and would clash with people. She never had any hope of winning. They basically select a bunch of no-hopers for entertainment value and several people who might actually win. Season 2 was quite telling as the contestants were selected more for entertainment value than business skills and Sugar only agreed to do a 3rd season if the calibre of the people taking part was improved.

I don't put the woman fired last night in the same league as that nut job from last year, but there were certainly simularities in that neither of them were actually people suitable to be the Apprentice.

It's still wide open who will win in my book because the losing team from next week gets automatically eliminated. Which means even that useless Northern corporate woman might be in the final 2.

Interestingly, Lucinda had this to say about the editing:

I think with the editing - and I'd be surprised if anybody says differently - they have done the most incredible, incredible job. They have hours and hours of footage, but I believe everybody has been depicted, personality-wise, as they are.

And todays Popbitch newsletter has this to say about Lucinda:

"Apprentice reject Lucinda Ledgerwood was known as
Cindy Burger (her real name) before the show."

Old news!

Quote:
The Scots-based TV hopeful has taken her mother's family name of Ledgerwood but was known as Cindy Burger at school.

She changed identities in 2004 after moving to Edinburgh and setting up a dating agency called Sage and Thyme.

We asked the questions.

Ah Roland On The Ropes. Not a bad game aside from the shonky flickering spites and flickering status bar.

I think Sir Clive Sinclair should enter next year. Just for a laugh.

Or perhaps I should enter. While Sugar is sitting there slagging me off, I could turn the tables on him. For example I found it wonderfully ironic that the man could sit there and slag off the adverts on the advert challenge when this shit below was supposed to market his console.
3 minutes 7 seconds is the magic number:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtMt0fqM9p8

So Alan, just how many consoles did you expect to sell with an advert like that? Did you do your market research? Everyone knew Nintendo would have a Turtles package for months in advance, didn't you think you might get slaughtered?

YOU WENT OUT AND LOST YOURSELF MONEY!

I'd be fucking aces. CG needs to be there as well, and possibly Grim.. wearing lipstick.
