That's brilliant! Topher used to dye his white bits pink when he was a kitten with a couple of his toys and cover himself in bits of red feather boa. Gayest cat ever.

Wasn't there a story in the news last year about someone up north killing off local cats by putting down Anti-freeze? Cats seem to love the stuff but it causes ethylene glycol poisoning which brings on kidney failure.

Sadly she had to be put to sleep around 5.15

Vet said she had a defective liver that couldn't process toxins, so the poor little thing was slowly poisoning herself.
I think that fact that she was a fussy eater and still preferred milk kept her going.
There was an operation with a slim chance, the vet said it was highly unlikely that she would have come around as she has been unconscious for most of the day

So hard to get my head around, at 6.30am this morning she was hanging off my trousers, at 8.30 she was clearly ill, and 11 hours later she is dead.

Couldn’t be worse re the wife she is sat on a plane to Brussels when she called and I told her, I had prepared her but it was still a shock.

It was never my idea to get a kitten, but I have to say I’m fucking devastated after having her for 8 days.

It's sad when any pet dies, but as an animal lover you learn to take the rough with the smooth. Usually you get years of love and companionship from them though, so it's extra devastating when they die young. Sorry chap.

Take solace in the fact that the little bugger was loved by you guys, and that there really wasn't anything that could be done. Sometimes, as cruel as it is, shit happens

Now, if you guys think you can deal with it, get thine arses to your nearest cat rescue place and rescue another little cat/kitten

My local rescue centre has 51 cats waiting to be rehomed

She came from a litter of 3 and there was one more to be homed, not really thinking about another at this point, but we will probaly look at that though.
