Before I put it on eBay, does anyone want the Exciting Rover? It has Mot until May. Done about 75k miles. It goes and stops, but needs to charge battery if it stands for more than a week. You will have to collect it. Condition is "OK" for a 14 year old car but some scratches in panels where I dragged wheelie bins past them and some rust on arches. I have one key.

eBay with no reserve and £100 starting price. You'll probably get more than you expected.

Not sure the owners would really want the undercarriage of their Land Rover sullied in that fashion.

The amount of oil the 520i burns is getting annoying now, so the obvious thing to do is to spend 2 grand on a 2003 745i sight unseen in Edinburgh, right?
Yeah, I thought so too, so that's my Saturday taken up.

On the plus side, at least if the notoriously flaky coolant pipe in the engine is fucked, that long a drive is likely to show it quite quickly ;)
