Here are three souless, mass-produced, tiny lumps of heritage-poor tin hammering around a racetrack like fucking superstars. There are only twelve cylinders in the entire photo! It's no wonder we hated every minute of it.

I was reading in one of my modder-type mags that much more recent, more powerful VAG engines just bolt into the Mk 2... imagine 200PS+ power in one of these!

I tried this(agu engine conversion), can confirm it's a lie. The amount of welding and prop shortening and general fucking about makes it very much not bolt in. That's the reason it was OTR for so long!

Ah right, soz. Is that the same deal for G60 supercharged lump? (Mind you, probably as rare as rocking horse shit)

No that was actually fitted to this chassis so it works pretty easy (but yes, very rare), the agu is from, like a mk5 golf or Audi S3.
Plenty people have done it right enough but I see a lot for sale as part finished projects. I think it's somehow become a myth that it's a piece of piss.

Hopefully it'll correct itself when I turn it back on.

Sounds like you need a new car mate. Once the clock starts playing up it's usually curtains.

Your car probably has more lines of code in it than everything else you own put together, so yeah, of course it is.

Estimates vary but 100-150 million is the typical number. Windows 10 is 50 million, for comparison. I've fallen prey to hyperbole a little but it's still a hell of a lot.

Fellow TDi'erer's say it's pointless adding induction kits over the standard air intake on these. Back to using bosch paper filter too from a green cotton one. Was cheaper than the cleaning kit :D
