Would be surprised if they gave him a 9 month ban for such a minor infraction.

Last time the Rams played here, they got utterly pasted. Wasn't so great.

a sad day for sports if a team moves... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14558 ... os-angeles

good to see the dons are comingt home...

(and i liked the trashers move to winnipeg too)

All the comments I have seen so far are:

1: Charger / Rams Fans angry or sad or both that the teams are leaving
2: San Diego / St Louis residents (who may or may not be fans) saying "good riddance"
3: LA residents who profess to have no interest in either team and / or whinging about traffic on game days.

I predict bad things for both teams and within 3 years the move will be judged an expensive failure. There is a reason both the Rams and Raiders bolted from LA in the first place.

I reckon it could have worked for the Raiders. But their stadium is properly bad compared to other teams. And I have a feeling that the Black Hole would travel to the moon if necessary.

Only if you look at the score lines. Some of the matches were incredible. GB v Arizona is an all time classic.

Guven that if the 4 teams eliminated, 3 of them were recent superbowl winners losing to teams that aren't (chiefs didn't keep up their end of the bargain) I'm not sure I'd describe it as upsetting.

And it's not like any of the games were boring by any stretch.

I think that Denver will likely put up 20ish points, regardless. So it's whether or not the strong Denver defence can do what nobody else seems to be able and stop Cam Newton.

The Broncos hit Brady 19 times.

Post subject:  Re: Yankee Rules Throwball

However the Panthers have a better defence than NE and have just beaten (like a red headed step child) the Cardinals who themselves have an above average defence.

In addition if the Broncos lose we will get to see Payton's sad old man face...plus Cam is quite good at "running about a bit".

Post subject:  Re: Yankee Rules Throwball

Didn't like Cam coming out of college...he was given almost as many passes as Winston. Over the last few seasons it is obvious he enjoys playing football and is also quite good at it. I find the constant felating of Manning by the media increasingly annoying and the idea that he 'won' the game at the weekend is ridiculous (rather than Ware and Miller jumping up and down on Brady). Whole sections of the Nantz / Simms commentary were horribly embarrassing.

Post subject:  Re: Yankee Rules Throwball

The Denver D looked really really good against the Pats. It's gonna be an interesting game. If they can get the pressure they got on Brady on Cam, and stop him running, then they may be in with a chance, but Denver really need to up their running game, late in the 3rd Quarter, Manning was their leading rusher!

And they did!

Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware et al were incredible. I think any QB in history would have struggled under that pass rush.

Post subject:  Re: Yankee Rules Throwball

I thought it was a shame Denver spoiled it all by scoring an offensive touchdown...it would have been more fitting to have the Defense score their TD.

Smashing game though. Von Miller is a monster.
