Not surprising, really. The Cards are going to be complete crap his year what with their new no.1 QB not even being good enough for the Browns. I, for one, am very sad at all of this as I love their trigger happy play style (and they won me a few quid when they got to the Superbowl).

Roll on next Sunday...

Good news everybody

Channel 4 will be showing the late Sunday game this season and Mr Carlson returns with Gary Imlach. Or am I the last to know this?

Okay folks, it's prediction time. Here are my dubious picks:

AFC East: Dolphins
AFC North: Bungles
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Chargers

Wildcards: Jets, Ravens

NFC East: Cowboys
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Falcons
NFC West: 49ers

Wildcards: Saints, Skins

AFC conference final: Bungles over Chargers
NFC conference final: Cowboys over 49ers

Superbowl: Bungles over Cowboys (I suspect this may be a heart over head prediction but I don't care)

Just watching the Dallas vs Chicago game...if the Bears aren't careful the Dallas defence are going to kill Cutler.

So, how's everyone enjoying this season? My Bungles are performing pretty well despite problems at QB. Still, it's nice to have a kicker who can actually score field goals now. They've got the Browns today and should probably go to 3-1.

Before the season started, I always have a cheeky bet on an outsider. This season, I threw £30 at the Chiefs and am frankly dumbstruck as to how well they're doing. I'm kinda sad they've got a bye today as that is a serious roll they're on.

And to think I was going to bet on the 49ers instead...

Or the Giants' defence are.

On the downside, the Jets' defence has pretty much fallen off a cliff. On the upside, Matt Sanchez is suddenly doing a decent impression of an actual NFL quarterback. Also: Running back's performance improves after he switches from one of the three worst offensive lines in the league to one of the three best, everyone acts surprised.

It may be depressing at the moment being a Liverpool fan but not as bad as being a Sheffield Wednesday fan, trust me.

But on a brighter note, The Chiefs are now the only undefeated team in the NFL! And I bet on them!

Favre and Moss's gigantic egos on the same team eh? I can't forsee any way that it won't end in tears...hopefully Favre's (the George Lucas of yankee throw ball).

If the vikings keep going along the current path they are, I can't help but feel that Mr Favres injuries might suddenly mysteriously flare up and rule him out for the season and que retirement. I was amused by the "Favre throws ball to Moss. Moss catches it" Story today.

The vikings really should've gone for a decent long term QB. Good though he is, it's really not a long term strategy. And not all that reliable a short term one either.

95 seconds to go and the Bengals are 7 points clear.

We still conspire to lose by 3.

Bloody hell.

If we don't make the playoffs this season I am going to have serious questions to ask about Carson Palmer.

Another 'Winning going in to the 4th Quarter and still lose' classic.

Bloody hell Bungles.

Though by all accounts Palmer was okay, just the defence was porous and Benson was running like crap.

The Bungles are turning the whole "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" into something of a habit. Kinda the opposite of last season where they invariably won the close games.

Elsewhere, Cleveland beat New Orleans and Oakland scored 59 points. This season is completely mad. Loving it all (apart from those cretinous Bungles of course).

And the Bengals manage to blow yet another game. Losing by six points after missing two field goals and ending the game camped outside the opposition end zone.

Le sigh.

I feel sorry for TO, as he's performing excellently, but the rest of the team are a vast ball of suck. So much for the playoffs!

You'd be surprised. The Bears Special Teams have done something similar in the past . They used to send a guy back on field goal attempts. If the ball ended up falling short, he'd catch it and nonchalantly walk towards the sideline, along with the rest of the Bears. The opponents would start heading to their sideline... Until they realise that a) the whistle hasn't gone, b) you CAN return field goals if they fall short and don't go dead and c) the Bears returner is sprinting along the sideline with a nice convoy of blockers.

I've also seen ball-carriers go down without being touched, not be touched at all while down, get up, saunter down the field a bit, till someone realised that the whistle hasn't been blown, no-one actually tackled him.

Quality prediction by myself at the start of the season. Who would have thought that St Louis would have won as many games as the Bungles and Cowboys combined?

But hey, who precisely would have thought that the best player in the NFL at the moment would be Michael Vick, eh?

It's another one of those seasons. Denver took a kicking two weeks ago, against Oakland. Then handed out a kicking to KC. San Diego are statistically brilliant but pretty crap on the field. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see an Oakland Atlanta SB

Well, wildcard weekend is done, the Seahawks, who many have said 'don't deserve to be in the playoffs with their 7-9 record' have knocked off the defending champions. Last years runners up went out to the Jets. Manning face! And the Philly juggernaut crashed and burned.

Some entertaining games there!

Of the teams in the playoffs, my favourties were the Colts and Jets, so I want the Green machine to go for it now!

Alternatively, I'm fine with the Seahawks winning it all, just for the lolz.

And, ultimately, anyone but the Bears.

Ooh boy, I can't stand the Jets. I'd even take the Steelers winning over them.

I'd like the bears to win too. The only reason you don't like them is because they stole your surname, which isn't overly fair.

From now on, I just want the scummy Steelers to not win anything. I hate them.

I wouldn't. My 3 least favourite teams are the Jets, the Steelers and The Patriots.

Naturally, I'm backing the Ravens for the AFC. (I would be anyway, but doubly so now)

I like teams that are funny and defensively challenged. Therefore I support the Bungles and have respect for Houston and New Orleans.

Defensively competent teams are hateful so Yah Boo Sucks to the Steelers, Ravens and Jets. Boring teams.

I like the Jets as LT is one of my personal favourites. Other than that I'm not much of a fan of them. I also like Indy because for a couple of seasons I had Manning and Harrison in the same team and just destroyed everyone with them.

Sadly in the playoffs I always have to pick my teams this way, as the Bengals never make it there.

And I dislike Chicago as I knew a really annoying dick Chicago fan who was so full of it when they were winning and thought Rex Grossman was the best QB in the league.

There's been a massive deal about the 7-9 Seahawks making the play offs when teams with better records stay at home, calls for a seeded tournament that takes the best twelve teams irrespective of division/conference and all that jazz, when the obvious solution is right in front of their faces. More teams in the playoffs. 4 divisional champions + the teams with the 4 best records, in each conference. 16 teams in the playoffs, then seed them 1-8 in each conference, and run it from there. Standings determine home games.

If a team doesn't get in over a division champ, they can't really complain if they aren't one of the 4 best non-division champs in their conference. Also gets rid of the bye week, everyone has to play the same number of games to win the Championship.

"No-one likes us! No-one likes us! No-one likes us! We don't care!"

Hurrah! The Jets have won the right to go and get gibbed by the Patriots!

On the upside, that's possibly the best game I've ever seen Rex Ryan call. Didn't fall in love with the blitz, didn't panic when Manning started to move the ball, just kept rushing 4 and playing coverage and waiting for the who-deys the Colts were playing at WR3 and TE1 to fuck up. On the downside, Brian Schottenheimer still needs a good cock-punching. STOP BREAKING UP SANCHEZ'S RHYTHM BY PLAYING BRAD SMITH AT QUARTERBACK FOR FUCKING FUCK'S SAKE. Needing one first down to basically end the game he calls a plunge up the middle, sticks Smith in for a QB option run then puts Sanchez back in to fling it deep on 3rd and 5 despite not having come close to completing that all day, despite seeing that there were 8 Colts at the line about to blitz and despite the slant routes being open all game. Jesus wept. Honestly, the way the offence played for most of the game we didn't deserve to win. Initially I thought Schottenheimer deserved some credit for the sweet comeback route on the last offensive snap that put the team in short figgie range, but as it turns out:

"On the sidelines, Sanchez told offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer that instead of playing it safe with a LaDainian Tomlinson run up the gut or a short, safe curl to Dustin Keller, he wanted to throw it up the right side to Braylon Edwards. Either he'd hit Edwards or he'd throw it so the corner couldn't pick it off. "The kid made the call,'' Rex Ryan said."

Well, that explains that.

i kinda like rex ryan, he's a bit louis van Gaal..

and as amsterdammer, i like the New Amsterdam Jets, as i like the New amsterdam Mets (who play in Vlissingen) and the New Amsterdam Rangers.., and liked the Breukelen Dodgers..

hoping for the little town to win, or the seahawks now, became to like Seattle fans, since they crushed the mls records with Sounders FC..

Yay!

I'll take the Steelers winning over everyone. Ever.

I wouldn't. My 3 least favourite teams are the Jets, the Steelers and The Patriots.

Naturally, I'm backing the Ravens for the AFC. (I would be anyway, but doubly so now)

Can I just say "Bollocks"

I'm in the rather unusual position of wanting th Patriots to win. I feel dirty.
