Russell has five now. Four very generously given by Nervoso and one I bought the other day. It's like watching someone grow 20 years younger in an instant. <3

Lego Advent calendars are having a bit of a price war in the supermarkets.

Tesco have price-matched Asda, meaning the Star Wars Calendar is £18.97 and the... nope, the other one is now sold out. The Lego city WAS £14.97, might get them back in.

Asda have them for the same price, but if you have Tesco vouchers of £5 or more, you can use them with clubcard boost and they are worth double, so £5 voucher gets you £10 off, etc. Depends how much you shop at Tesco I guess.

Excellent. I definitely need the Star Wars one again.

Oh, and there's apparently going to be a Big Bang Theory set next year.

Just watched it. Looks good for a small team building exercise.

I have my LEGO Star Wars calendar in the cupboard. Can't wait to start opening it. I want Darth Vader in a Santa Hat!

Yes, I am too rubbish to work out how to link to this from my iPad via FB.

Can't yet find any more sources confirming.

The one and only bit of parental advice I'll give you is make sure that you keep all your kid(s) Lego sets and instructions, as they'll really thank you for it a long time later.
It's been such a treat rebuilding this lot.

I do indeed, but I'm short of the white tail fins so haven't built it yet.

They are a really crappy design that breaks easily so I'm missing quite a few. The grey and blue variants are the oldest and fetch about £2 each - the slightly later white and black are more common and I've got a batch of 6 on the way at 60p each so I'm reluctantly accepting colour substitution until I manage to get a bargain in the other colours. There's loads of black ones for sale in Australia for some reason so I may just buy more of them.

The other two bits that were easily damaged are the round legs and the 2x1 flat pieces with a ladder attached - both as used on that set.
There's a slightly different grey ladder that's a current piece which is close enough and costs pence.

You appear to be gluing them on the underside of your desk. Gives you more room to work, I guess.
