This week, C H & M drive in a circle in the desert and basically achieve nothing.

I loved every second of it.

Part one was better than part two I think.

And on to today's; the new NSX looks lovely.

New Top Gear started tonight.

The Ferrari was stunning (and oh shitting God did it sound amazing), and the challenge was fun.

The Star in the (new) car bit was horribly scripted from beginning to end, though, in fact all the in-studio bits were horrible.

Still: a large improvement on the beginning of the last series.

That fucking Bugatti, man.

Not seen the latest one yet but I've been quite enjoying it. Just nice to be able to watch a car show instead of a party political broadcast on behalf of the Utter Cunts.

Not seen any of the new ones, i'll give them a go when I get chance.

Yep, it's a lot better than The Grand Tour, Ginger Gear or the last few years of the Clarkson TG.

I also think its pretty good, and agree with Zoidberg.

I hope, however, that they do decide to cut down on the forced Bantz. They're trying to match Old Top Gear, where said Bantz were based on 20 odd seasons of 'Character development' and so the viewer knew the premise on which they were based. James May wasn't called Captain Slow in episode 1, so they shouldn't be trying to recreate those relationships artificially now. It did kind of work on the Oman section, but not on the sofa.

I gave up the Grand Tour after the Whitby episode. Too much smugness. "Look at us doing the same old shit but getting paid a shit load to do it! Aren't we brilliant?"

Top Gear has been great this season, and tonight’s Japan special was superb. Just a shame they ruined two nice cars.

The Grand Tour was also pretty decent, apart from the finale which was abysmal.

Was the finale the road trip with the fish? That was proper turd. They're trying to recreate manually something that happened quite organically in previous specials and the way it fizzled out at the end made it abundantly clear that the three leads don't give a flying fuck about the whole thing anymore.

I can't bear to watch TGT anymore. The car sections are usually great but when the three of them are stood about talking bollocks it's piss poor.

Paddy McGuiness and Freddie Flintoff are joining the presenting crew, with Rory Reid "doing less" for some bizarre reason.

Should've had the balls to end it earlier. The BBC didn't want to concede that there was no show without Clarkson. It seems they were wrong

I watched one episode of post Evans top gear. It was painful in its pretending that the people there were amazing chums with awesome chemistry.

A lesson in not forcing it.

The problem is, if you act the character of an arse under your own name, on TV, during work to your colleagues, in your newspaper column, then it’s not the audience’s fault that the fact your character spills over into your life makes your real-life self unpalatable.
