Simple Question. YouTube is all right, but their video quality is rather cack. Are their any other sites that host videos you can then embed into a webpage (same as YouTube), but with much better video/audio quality? I've heard Veoh mentioned before.

Ta!

I had been using Brightcove but they stopped accepting new submissions about 6 months ago. Which is annoying as they did everything Youtube did but at higher quality.

Vimeo is the official video hosting for the 'site'.
Oh yes.

52% complete - whatever could it be!

Also - good use of the toaster.

Hahahaha! Thanks, although I prefered the fridge. Note how we both react when the toaster causes the shotglasses to make an unplanned trip toward the floor.

Ah yes the fridge was good.

Also: Blade 2 was the worst film I've think I've ever seen.

The geekiest thing that annoys me is that it features a "UV light bomb" that:
1) Bends round corners.
2) YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHT COMING.

"OH SHIT THAT LIGHT IS GETTING CLOSE< BETTER STEP OUT OF THE WAY!!!!111!!!!!ONE!!ETC"

Blade 2 was the best of the 3, IMO.

The reason I had to re-upload my Uncharted review to Vimeo (originally thinking I had some sort of 'beex' account) was because Vimeo isn't the official video hosting, http://www.blip.tv is.

Blip.tv is great. Use it!

(Here is the Uncharted video)

Ahh, ok, so you would recommend Blip over Vimeo then? What reasons? Is the quality better etc (my main concern) or anything else of note? A lot of people are singing the praises of Vimeo, so I'm not sure which to go for.

I must confess that I do not know.
I like the way blip.tv puts the name and title at the beginning, and they both offer good quality and download links.
Blip is geared toward episodic content, and both get upset if you upload something you haven't done yourself (indeed, Vimeo get upset even if you have the permission of the creator - it has to be yours).

Cool, having the title before the video starts could be useful, so I'll def look at Blip for that. Cheers for mentioning it, I'll potter around with both at work tomorrow :)
