Given everyone's changing habits, it seems that 20:00 on Tuesday may no longer be the best day/time for this.

I thought I'd do a little poll, please tick all the days/times you would be happy for the meet to take place

Thanks for posting this Malc.

As we were discussing on Tuesday, for something like this to last for almost three years is quite the achievement especially as various lockdowns pass into history.

It is great to have a regular slot to catch up with everyone and it'd be good if we can continue something but as the world has opened up and people have got busy again if nobody's around it's better to draw a line rather than dwindle away.

I think our issue is that one or both of us is in work on the Tuesday, and by the time we've got home, sorted out tea, and settled down, we're not always feeling up for the quiz. And/or, one or both of us is in work on the Wednesday, so we've got to get up early, and a 10 finish is then a bit late for us really.

Because of this, it was a bit hard to vote, because in a lot of cases, "it depends", I've mostly gone for the 7-9 slots throughout the week, but earlier on Sunday, later on Friday, and anytime Saturday, but if we've been in work, a 7 o'clock start probably makes things worse, if we haven't, we could probably do a 6 o'clock start, but there's not that much consistency to say that we're both home on day X (although Thursdays is probably the best chance at the moment).

Sorry, that's not too helpful, and we're both grateful to Kern for starting this, Malc for putting in ridiculous amounts of effort, and everyone else for turning up and making it fun, so hopefully we can work out a time that suits enough people enough of the time to keep it going.

Is there any possibility of quiz/games being done asynchronously? That might encourage participation but it'd knock the social aspect of it a bit.

Yes, it's more a social thing with the quiz as the loose structure to hang it off. That said, we've had some genuinely creative rounds over the months and quizzes are always fun anyway.

I voted Monday 8pm-10pm, Thursday 8pm-10pm and Sunday 8pm-10pm. Any earlier than 8pm is difficult, and any later than 10pm is equally difficult as 10pm is late to bed by our standards as it is :P
