OK, I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I am going to go ahead an ask anyway...

Gosh I feel like an idiot asking this, but does anyone have a new style (like the one below) iPod nano and a scanner, and would actually be willing to scan the front of their nano for me? See, I am making iPod cases for my shop, and people keep asking me if I d the cases for the new nanos, but I don't have one to make a template from :P I have an old style nano and a new style classic.

This is the kind I am after:

If I had a scan so I could work out screen and wheel positioning, and size of the components and the body, then I think I can make do with that if I knew what resolution the scan was made at.

OK, as I said, a long shot, but i thought there was no harm in asking.

No, but here are the dimensions from the Apple site Mimi.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Zardoz, oh, and Andy B! Hmmmm, I can try to make that picture fit the dimensions in real size and see if I can work out the screen position from that, I guess. Thanks, I'm going to give it a go :D

Also, yours was still handy, Andy (oh, hehe) because it has the depth as well, which will make it more accurate.

Cheers, boys.

Wow, thanks AndyB, that's precisely what I was after, thanks for your help! I have bookmarked it.

Yes, Kalmar, I am starting a new range today, I had some older ones that I used to make but people kept asking about the nano cases, which I couldn't make as I never had the dimensions, so I am starting a new line with new designs today. I'll pop up a picture when I am done.

Oh, yes, you are right. That's not what I meant to say, though - I meant the shot from the bottom, where the connectors are - I'll be able to put in room for the connectors and that sort of thing. I was thinking of the depth earlier, but I think they are the same depth as my current ipod, so I think that's why I typed that instead of what I actually meant :S

I was upset to find that the oldest living spider monkey, Randyman, at Twycross had died. He was my favourite primate with a name that implies he was sexually promiscuous. Apart from Sir Buggermyarse the Emperor Tamarin at The Zoo Of Swindon.

Different things - cotton twill and quilt batting for some (I print my own cotton), some are made of 100% pure wool, others wool felt.

Materials with a good deal of insulation, as keeping iPods warm in cold weather stops the battery from running down too fast (which it will do if you have it in your bag or pocket in cold weather - 'tis true, look it up :)

See, attractive and functional :p

Yes, the ipod covers indeed seem attractive and functional.

More like an ipod cosy really. Cuteness.

Can you make one for the iphone utilising seethrough twill?

I have some soft clear vinyl which I am using for screen protectors. The old cases I am not doing - they were boring and are from some years ago now. I have new ideas which i am excited about.

That all sounds excellent and, knowing you, all have lovely designs.
