Do you get lots of questions via World of Monkey, Mimi?

I get about 30-60 a day.

They mostly ask:

How many types of monkeys are there
How many types of animal there are in the world.
What do monkeys eat.

Then you get the odd question about vector bosons (which is one I received today) and random stuff like that.

Yeah, I have to filter them off into a smart folder, or my laptop goes 'ping' ping' ping'. Also, anything that contains the word 'eat' gets filtered off and doesn't arrive at all. What I find most incredible about world of monkey is that when I did a google search for party rings, your site came up. At the time I didn't realise it was you! Small internet.

I only realised two days ago that your pimpthatsnack was indeed the pimpthatsnack I knew about and thought was amazing with the giant yorkie bar that lives in a fridge. I got quite excited.

EDIT: Monkey didn't mention the chimps that paint abstract art in that question about painting monkeys, presumably because chimps are apes and not monkeys. I wasn't sure whether to be happy he had made the distinction or sad he hadn't shown the paintings. Some of them are really quite good.

Monkey is quite happy with the association with all of his primate friends. In fact, Munkeh and Giant Munkeh are both chimps. The names are confusing, I know.

I have also seen abstract painting by elepehants. It's just scribbles. I'm going to Google this when you get back and look into it for a new piece for a site update

There was an article in the New Scientist ages ago about elephant music- apparantly they have a proper sense of rhythm and know when to start and stop if you give them all drums they can operate with their feet. That struck me as interesting. I should have drawn my elephant doing that instead of swearing at a mouse.

It always amazes me that random people have heard of the site. A couple of weeks ago we were having dinner with some friends and a mutual friend of my gf. Someone mentioned PTS in the conversation and she (the friend) starts shreiking 'You're the pimp that snack guy? no way!' and then wouldn't quieten down about it for the rest of the evening. I'd prefer fortune to tenuous fame, personally.

But you have tenuous fame in the form of inspiring people to make giant versions of sherbet dib-dabs. I can't think of any better kind.

Do people send you giant snacks often? Do your relatives complain at christmas if there isn't a pudding bigger than a turkey? Is it possible to make a giant aero without the bubbles being wrong? There are so many questions to ask! No wonder people get excited.

'We' did a tv thing recently, for a BBC kids thing called Gastronuts. My bro-in-law was filmed making two giant snacks which will apparently be aired at some point soon. If I find out when I'll let you all know. What with it being a kids show they can't, retardedly, mention the word 'pimp' or indeed the website, making the whole thing perhaps a bit pointless. The best we can hope for is that on seeing the show, kids will either recognise the theme and find the site, or type 'giant snacks' into google (top result, get in).

My bro-in-law was paid £150 for his efforts in making the snacks, and I got the, erm, glory of being tenuously famous, as usual.
