Once upon a lunchtime Ginster, whilst I pondered my old printer,
Churning page and page of type just like the printed page before,
Patiently whilst waiting, standing, suddenly I noticed banding,
Print quality till now oustanding, suddenly now very poor.
It matters not which specific branding, or recommended online store;
Could you hook me up with more?

By Mimi, aged twentysomething and a half.

I have a new printer and need to get some new cartridges. They don't have to be HP brand as it's only for the printing of things for myself. I used to use TheCartridgePeople, but their customer service is appalling, and I shall never use them again, so any suggestions appreciated.

The answer to all such questions is to use SVP.

Usually I just draw on the walls with crayons, but I need to post a letter and this wall is kind of heavy.

They don't seem to stock cartridges for my printer, Chinny. I searched both cartridge number and printer model but no results for either. Thankyou for the suggestion, though.

Tell us what model you have, and maybe someone will have a better idea?

Oh, Ok.

It's an HP c4280, and the cartridges it takes are 350 (bw) and 351 (colour) [or 350 XL and 351 XL, of course]

I'm not allowed near knives.

if Mali would be generous enough to carve the potatoes for me and send them in a big box, then we're on.

I get my carts either from ebuyer.com or viking direct, both of which seem to have a large stock of whatever you want.

CartridgeSave?

I've never used them myself, but they seem to have what you need.

The multipack HP deals from Ebuyer are quite good value. I buy genuine carts for my CD printer as they tend to give better results when you need a professional finish and I've been buying in bulk from Ebuyer.

I've used BigInk in the past and they're pretty good.
