I thought it’d be nice to have a thread for funny little website snippets and wikipaedia entries that make an interesting bit of reading for a slow afternoon. Things like: Potoooooooo |

Indeed, good thread. Not of the same calibre but: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunice_Huthart She frequently doubles for Angelina Jolie (and is godmother to her daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt),[4] most recently in Salt. |

Dimrill wrote: From an Twitter, a list of odd TV board game tie ins: https://timworthington.org/2019/07/11/a ... tion-game/ I've played the Dads Army one (my uncle used to have it) I seem to remember it being quite fun (remember this would have been 35 + years ago) - with you having to defuse bombs that blocked areas around the map - yes there was swastika pieces and i think if you flipped them over they were British flags on the reverse. All very vague but I also think one of the cards was an air raid and you had to all then move to a shelter..... In other politically incorrect games the other one he had that I remember was the battle of the little big horn - basically a group of cowboys in the middle trying to survive while being overrun with indians https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/532 ... e-big-horn |

Berlin Brandenburg Airport I love this story. Whenever I feel that this country is an utter shitshow that couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery, which is often, it’s good to remind myself that even the best countries can still monumentally fuck something seemingly simple up on an improbable scale. |
