I started over twice.
I found that the special things like rainbows and stars made my results worse. I also found that the results were by far the best when I really looked at the hour mark (so 11.00 and not 11.23) and if I only took into account the clouds. Once it was raining on my head but it wasn't "rain" it was "cloudy" because of the clouds pattern. Obviously ignore the decorative clouds.

Metreorrwrerooronook really doesn't like my weather results. I'm currently travelling back through time to check each setting and they've all been correct so far, but still no matches. :(

How many days entries have you entered, Dimrill? It took me about seven days of results. Each of my days took between 3-6 data points (I usually added from 7am onwards, exactly on the hour).

I had a bit of trouble finding mine the first two times I tried (it rather, it found them but they were wrong) so I made solute to only add Monday-Friday so that I wasn’t accidentally putting in event days. I was also extra careful to select the appropriate ‘unsure’ option if I wasn’t 100% sure if it was cloudy or sunny on the stroke of the hour.

I think what Miki says about looking at 11:00 and not 11:23 is key. When I was really paying attention I found conditions looked different only a few minutes later.

@TheVision both your girls just visited and both of them left using -
can you please explain to them that this is NOT the way to leave an island as it resets the session for all the people on the island
the first one used minus to leave while I was still talking to her, which is possibly what happened to mimi as pressing minus in the chat is reporting to nintendo

No problem... Sorry about that! I'll tell them.

Hiya ... My turnip price is 181 this morning and Turnip Prophet says there's a big chance of a large spike. I'll keep you posted for the price this afternoon. If it increases, I'll open the gate.

I have a meeting this morning with school for Becca so that's on my mind at the moment. Fingers crossed that will go well as she really needs her time managing successfully there as she's Autistic and finds it hard to even be there at all.

I hope all is well with you today :luv:

I like your library Romanista :luv:

I hadn't thought of using the other profiles on the switch to make more houses Jem. I don't know why! I know Alex isn't going to use his so ...

Steve has a house on our island, not because I had a good plan but because Katie wanted dad to also be there
so it's not a library or clubhouse, but full of papa things, so he has a hoover :D and chinese food table :D and lots of space stuff
and now I will be able to finally craft the bonsai soon!
oh and I use his storage a bit, all the wedding clobber is in his storage in case someone wants any

way excited about autumn in AC!

The library is ace, Rick! I have a couple of times thought of taking over Russell’s house (because he rarely actually plays) and making it into something else, but I don’t know if I ever would.

I felt almost disappointed this morning as I caught two of the new bugs within 15 seconds of walking out of the house and then another a few minutes later. Only three bugs left to catch in the whole critterpedia.

I have a feeling I've missed some bugs at some point because I defo have more than 3 bugs left to catch. Maybe 7-8??

I ended up making a list of the bugs I needed to make sure I didn't miss any and this is what I need:
Monarch Butterfly - Sep-Nov (4am-5pm)
Bell Cricket - Sep-Oct (5pm-8am)
Cricket - Sep-Nov (5pm-8am)
Damselfly - Nov-Feb (All day)
Dung Beetle - Dec-Feb (All day)

So have you caught two of those already? (or maybe the guide I cribbed the months from is wrong :) )

plus I need to catch another fly as I forgot to donate the one I caught.

I have 6 left and have been pretty damn dilligent in getting them, getting four of each every month (except for that damn cicada shell, only caught two of those).

New ones this month that haven't already been available:

Monarch Butterfly
Cricket
Bell Cricket
Red Dragonfly

I don't know, you spend an entire month diving for flatworms and then have 7 in a row in one night. Tut. And I just realised I didn't catch my 3 extra vampire squids in August, so they'll join Stringfish and cicada shells on the "not getting a model of" list.

Anyone else think of @gazchap every time they catch a gazami crab? no? just me?

For months I've been trying to maintain the island as the rustic, remote, backwoods rural idyll I yearn to escape to, but I've finally given in to Isabelle's research and have begun to pave over paradise. I've built a small play area for the little ones and made a cafe/snack area by the waterfall. Very tempted to join the library train next!

I've updated my "dream" if anyone wants to visit during the sleepy hours.
